What the club says: Each hole unique and there are an abundance of cunningly placed hazards laid out to maximise the challenge you will face.
The club first opened for business in 1910 and now has a significant and friendly membership that rises year on year. It benefits further from fine picturesque views of the surrounding countryside. A really wonderful place to enjoy some golf.

The round cost ?10 so wasn't expecting an amazing course. The holes weren't the most challenging holes and became quite repetitive. Holes 15,16 and 17 had no flags in them and the 16th green had been vandalised. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Ideal course for beginners if I'm honest

Good course for beginners like myself. Wide fairways and rough isn't too bad. Greens are quite compact, but well looked after. Does get affected by heavy rain, with holes 15-17 being closed on 2 of my rounds played here. Staff in shop explain what holes to repeat for the full 18 holes.

Mr

Course in reasonable condition especially after heavy rain the previous day. Hole directions signage was not good and one or two players missed holes. Food and clubhouse staff were excellent.

Bulwell Hall

Unfortunately the tee blocks are really poor. 18th tee block is on a mound, meaning you tee off on a slope. The course is open and forgiving and quite nice up until the 15th of which we got lost as it was not signposted where the next tee was. 15th, 16th and 18th are horrible holes which are tough and the polar opposite to the first 14. Feels like a different course once you get lost in the woods. Highlight of the day was the tee block marked on a piece of paper saying "yello". Poor form Bulwell Hall.

Enjoyable round of golf

The course layout is very good with lots of mature trees separating each fairway. The fairways are quite generous. The greens ran true but were on the hard side. The bunkers need improving. Holes 15,16 and 17, on the other side of the entrance road are now a bit quirky! Overall very enjoyable

The most improved course in Nottinghamshire and the surrounding area. The former municipal course remains a "play and pay" venue which is improved by the new owners month on month. The greens are kept at a high quality, although the is one that still has some room for improvement. The fairways are a good test of accuracy in driving, the course as a whole is a pleasure to play, it presents golfers of all abilities with challenges and for the bold, the risk/reward equation is a tempter. There are plans to open a new pro-shop and there is a teaching professional to give both advice and lessons.
