Lovely course - two distinct nines that have their own charm
Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to the 'Top Village course in the UK'Played on the Friday in the PM, reasonable twilight fees
Front 9 a nice Suffolk parkland course, decent hole design and fluidity. Back 9 threads through the village over public roads and is definitely one to play, very interesting hitting approach shots into greens with main roads behind!
Really enjoyed, good pace of play and reasonable fees

Quaint little course - Worth a visit
If you are in the area this course is definitely worth a visit. Greens and tee boxes in superb condition and every person on the course/clubhouse was super friendly. Holes 2-11 are the highlights of the course and provide a modern feel to the golf course - longer holes with dog legs and tree lined fairways. Hole 1, 12-18 are the old style holes (short par 4s in a fairly open setting next to the main road. This adds to the uniqueness of the course and shows how the club has adapted and expanded over time.(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 79 Handicap: 11.8)

My advice to you is: Play Newton Green and then play as many other clubs in Suffolk as you can. You will soon understand that Newton Green is up there with the best of them. Outstanding greens, fairways in very good order, bunkers and rough tidily presented (if that's possible with the rough') A good day out..You won't be disappointed!Reviewer Rating
