Course in bad shape from what it was a few years ago now even golf pro no longerat course shame the lads in shop don't know what they are doing

Grass a little long and so little roll. Greens were even pace
d. It is tiring with several energy sapping hills.

Unfortunately on this occasion, the course was not up to the standard of last year.
The course fee was reduced because of this, need to get back to the high standards of previous year !

To be fair we only paid £8 each as seniors so we shouldn't expect too much but we got the impression of a nice course spoiled by lack of funds. The fairway grass was very long, covered in daisies and dandelions. Just off course the grass had been cut but all the loose grass left laying. We took over 4.1/2 hours to play and at least 30 minutes of that was spent searching for balls on or just off the fairways. The greens were also very bumpy. A pty because there are some interesting holes but we will not be returning anytime soon.

Played this course on an awful day. It was not in good condition and very poorly signposted. Would possibly ?o back again. Would be better prepared and it is definitely not a course for anyone to play who has difficulty walking up hills. Needs better clubhouse and changing facilities.

Windy and Wet day greens were boggy but nice course although pore signs between holes. Not Clear.Would play better in dry.

greens terrible covered in sand and large airation/drainage holes. 7th green already on temp, ball bouncing all over place, after 5 days of poor weather. All other aspects of course in good condition. Does not bode well for winter play.

the lay out of this course is very good however there always seem to be a lot of cut grass laying on the fairways and this detracts from the course and tends to give the impression of untidy and not cared for.

At Last Some Investment
The course has sadly suffered from lack of investment since being taken over by Mack Golf. Finally though as the course was in a dire state, we have some improvement/investment.There has been a lot of effort by the green staff, greens have been worked on and they are starting to show real improvement. Tees have been cut and so have fairways. The is real improvement, the only complaints are fairways getting narrower and the rough although cut is a definite no no area.
I played Thursday 12th Oct and the course looked in better shape than it has been for many a year, all main greens.
Well done to the greens staff, for the effort they are making.

Would be fantastic however
The course was friendly and welcoming, a great challenge cardiac hill is probably the most challenging hole I've played due to me only just taking up the sport. Unfortunately there were far to many temp greens and those that were in play were in a bad way putting was near impossible I estimate I probably lost 8-12 shots purely because of the greens or lack there of putting on the fairway was an interesting thing to do, the bunkers were all out of play but nobody in our round hit one so that didn't affect us. For the money it's a great course and when the greens are sorted (there is work being done) I'll look forward to playing here again.(Round played: Sep 2017 - Score: 124 Handicap: )
