What the club says: Throughout the 6,618 yards of this par 72 course, water features, large bunkers, trees and expansive greens combine to offer a challenging, as well as a most enjoyable golfing experience. The front nine, which plays towards the small village of Mill Green itself, is both open and undulating, and by comparison the back nine plays directly towards Hertford and is noted for its narrow fairways which work their way through ancient woodland and large lakes.

Positive changes being made
Played here a couple of times recently and have been impressed. There is quite a bit of ground under repair currently with bunkers being moved and new bunkers being created and once finished, this will bring an even greater challenge. Looking forward to playing here again very soon.
Overall, it?s a challenging track but forgiving enough for a high handicapper like me to still stand a chance of scoring well.

A bit confusing and work in progress
Played on 1st April. The clubhouse is in the process of being renovated and various works are in progress on the course. New bunkers are being installed and are free drop area at the time.It is not a long course but still quite challenging in places. Greens are a little variable and there are several water hazards that come into play on many holes. Lots of trees on the front nine but more open on the back nine.

Getting better and better!
I?ve been playing Horton for many years but not since before Lockdown 1 this year. Great to be there this week before we go into another period of ?no golf? and to have a really enjoyable experience on the course that continues to mature and become increasingly defined. Maintenance and detail is consistently improving and the challenge of the first 5 holes continues to set the tone of your round. And then you are confronted by the 10th, the course signature island hole - always a challenge! Will always return to a favourite course and this is one of mine.

Course struggling a bit with wet weather & work
Played Mill Green a few times before, and always liked it. holes 15, 17 & 17 is a beutiful little stretch. However, the course on this occasion was struggling a bit with the wet weather (can't really be helped). And the 18th had work going on, so an excavator and dumper rather spoiled the hole. Not the end of the world, but would not want to have paid any more than I did for it (?21 each). Pro shop also closed for refurb.

Mill Green
Course was a bit wet but we have had a lot of rain but greens were very good, will definitely play here again although it is a bit pricey in the summer ????

Lee
Excellent golf, full of challenges. Played several times midweek & at the weekend. My main is that the course is wellmanaged during the week , but seems to be poorly managed at the weekend when busier & only having 8 minute gap between tee offs. Also seemed very crowded & having to wait on every tee, took over 5 hours & still didn't complete the round & we they'd off at 3.15pm ! Poor
Will play again, but not at weekends.

Good but overpriced for the current condition of the fairways
First time playing and was looking forward to the course due to the premium price (?45 Saturday). Tee boxes in good condition, greens in amazing condition, fairways in desperate need of some water. Understandable condition for the time of year but not for the premium price - We had to play pick and place on some fairways. Great layout though, especially the back 9 that felt like a different course to the front 9

Overpriced
Course has got new owners and now the price has gone through the roof. Stay away until they decide to put some of that money into the course. Disappointed

Very nice.
Some really nice holes. Greens are lush and fast
