My golf friends and I found this course a couple of years ago and play it regular, if we have a dry spell the ground is hard and the greens very quick but for the money it is a spot on course, just needs more water at times, you will enjoy a round here for sure (take a breather at the top of the hill on the first !!) Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

Husband and I played Thurdsday 25th June, we had a wonderful day, the pro was very helpful acquiring a buggy. The course was in good shape. All in all a good day, would recommend it. We will defo visit again. Thank you Fiona for the lovely sausage cob after our round.

Played this for first time today. Great views, plenty of undulations, superbly kept course full of character. Wide fairways, elevated tees, challenging par3s...best course I have played in the Derby/Nottingham area. Joe handicap 28. Score 107

Another under-rated course. I thought it was excellent, great course and extremely well kept. Excellent value for money and would / will play again. Recommended.

Played the course again on a groupon (2-for-1). I played the course twice last year using a groupon and went back as they gave additional 2-for-1 vouchers after you have finished. This time played on a Friday afternoon when there were plenty of others on the course but we didn't experience any slow play. Some tees and greens are close or slightly overlapping but we didn't experience any long waits. The course is in great condition. Well kept tees, fairways and fast true greens. Great views of the area around the whole course. Its is a good challenge as you need to be accurate off the tee and with your approach to small greens. Very friendly staff. I will be back soon

My son and I played Maywood today and what a gem. Driving up to the club house on arrival we could see the course and greens looked beautiful and we were not disappointed. You have to think about the best shot to play which makes it challenging but extremely satisfying. The hospitality was fantastic and we had a fab day. Membership fee is very reasonable for a course of this quality and my son and I will definitely be joining. Go play and enjoy.
