What the club says: The oldest club in West Sussex, and also the only links course in the area. The course offers a true test of ability, and with excellent drainage, remains playable all year round. A great course that is very well kept and is a joy to play.

First time round here. Great course though tough to visualise some of the tee shots if you've not been before, especially on the front 9. Back 9 is a little more straight in front of you. Need to be straight as if you go off line the rough is punishing and you are likely to lose a ball. Course was in good condition barring a couple of dryish fairways mid round. Greens were decent but a little slower than expected. Had a bit of wind when playing which added to the experience and challenge. Green fee of £45 was decent value. Very friendly in the clubhouse and pro shop and nice food for lunch. Would like to come back in future.

Great Views

Based right next to the shore with lovely dunes. The greens were well looked after and superb green. Rough was really harsh and many balls lost in the grass

Always a test

Course in great condition.
Always a challenging course, if you hit your shot well it's great, if you go wrong then you are in trouble
Every hole is numbered well but some signage to the next hole would be helpful.
I clashed with a member who seemed to have a problem with me asking him which way the next hole was. Hardly unreasonable is it? Manager was great and apologised on his behalf.

Could be great after refurb

This is a good course as it stands, great bunkering. Some refurb is taking place on the course which will be great when finished. The green fee is a bit pricey for what is is at the moment. Rough is brutal and swallows balls id you stray offline, goos greens.

Beautiful Course

I enjoyed playing here and it was just as good as I'd heard it was. The course was in great condition and consists of 3 Fives. 5 Threes and 10 Fours. I played when it was extremely windy and it was a challenge. The holes aren't too difficult and are good fun.
The Clubhouse was great, great views, drinks and the barmaid (air hostess) was telling me about Phil the Pheasant who I met on the course.

Stunning Course with breathtaking views

The beautiful gem of a links on the West Sussex coast is truly a test of your golfing ability. without the wind it can seem to play easy, as long as you are straight. The rough is up and if you are lucky enough to find your ball, well, you've seen them try and muscle a ball 100 yards on TV! The greens roll very well and the clubhouse welcome and offerings are superb.

Genuinely a great course, welcoming club and enjoyable hospitality.

Wonderful Links

Super course, the wind blew and added 10 shots to my score ( that?s my story and I?m sticking to it!)
NB. Need to update the handicap holes, they changed 5 years ago!

Great condition

After returning from a long break in playing my course I returned this weekend and it is in fantastic condition.

I would say that as there is no score cards at the moment I put my round into this app and your course information needs updating as a couple of the SI on a few holes has changed.

Disappointed

Went to play here New Year?s Day and have to save having enjoyed playing here recently I was left disappointed on this visit.
The course was only wet in a couple of spots so couldn?t understand why it looked like the fairways hadn?t been touched in weeks.

Super course can’t wait to play again!

From start to finish I loved this course. Play links in Devon and Merseyside sand this is flatter with less dunes but no less of a test especially when the wind picked up. Loved it!

Played in afternoons and only saw a couple of other single players!
Pretty much the course to ourselves
Very friendly staff and nice homemade sausage rolls!

If I lived in these parts I’d join

Great links challenge!

Played off the white tees with two members with the wind playing its usual tricks throughout the game. Very enjoyable as always with greens particularly in good nick. Friendly club with great beer selection available. I always look forward to playing Liitlehampton as it changes significantly as one would expect with links play.

Very Friendly Staff

A seaside links style course. Horrendous weather and the club even offered our society a change of date when we arrived but we persevered and had a super day when the wind died and the sun came out. Excellent meal Great course for societies.

Nice course

The day was bright but very cold. We knew when we got there that the greens were frozen and some greens would be temporaries. We started the round expecting the greens would be opened as the round progressed. Alas that did not happen. In fairness the temporary greens were the best I've ever played and as a consequence it did not detract from a great days golf.

Nice day out. Course in good condition, especially the greens. Running smooth and fair pace. In the wind you have to plot your way around. Good fun.
