hidden gem
played here for the first time, the course is run and maintained by members, the old course was in fantastic condition, nice layout, only downside was the rough was so long and thick it was impossible to find a ball in it, practice areas, no clubhouse facilities that i noticed, small sign in desk / shop with balls and tees ect(Round played: Jul 2019 - Handicap 21

Nice parkland layout
This is a nice break from windy links courses if you're in the area. Interesting layout with lots of elevation changes. Some very pretty holes especially the par 3s. Generally a fair test but there are a couple of blind holes so would recommend a stroke saver book. The club is clearly doing there best to keep the course going and a real shame to see the old house in a state of disrepair. I'd encourage folks to give the course a try and the green fees will help the club stay afloat. Good chance you'll find the course pretty quiet, so stress free golf in lovely surroundings.Reviewer Rating

Great course to play for a highish handicapper. Nothing unfair and pretty forgiving

Very challenging course, need to hit straight to stay out of rough which seems to grab you ball then hide it!! Could also get round only using your driver once or twice of you can resist the temptation!! ????

We had vouchers for here so travelled up to play it. Really good course, just shame it's far away from us. Would have been pricey had not been for the vouchers though. Course in good condition. Very very quiet which is good but was lacking a little bit of atmosphere. Guy in shop very helpful. Such a shame old house at 1st tee has been left to ruin. They've done a great job keeping course going (ifyou know the history of what's going on with this place).

i had heard alsom of good thing about this course but i was left disappointed they time i had finished. My party arrived and there was not catering facilities or Pro Shop. The couse needs to have also requires alot of work as it appears to have went downhill, it didnt help

Very pretty course, some holes with rhododendrons in bloom look like they could be from Augusta.
