What the club says: An 18 hole, par 72 course with two loops of 9 on undulating parkland terrain and measures a testing 6418 yards from the white tees. The present day course layout by Hawtree & Son is a redesign of the original links built almost 100 years ago.

Returned after several years, mainly because buggies were available and although controlled, it was a pleasure to play golf again in wet conditions.
The course was a little worn in places but the greens were very good and a very helpful pro with a friendly attitude to welcome visitors

worth a visit
access through a electronic gate into a very large and spacious carpark lets you knowyou're entering a very pleasant golf environment. the pro shop is very bright and well stocked. the clubhouse overlooks the 1st and 10th tees as well as the 9th and 18th greens. the course is very hilly and a great test for all capabilities. this course is well worth a visit.

October 1st great condition
A really good course that makes you think.Course was in great "nick". Tidy fairways and fair greens.
Plenty of rolling hills but nothing too strenuous.

A fun round with friends
Played with a mate who had just returned from Thailand. Good fun. Course good, nobody in front or behind. Our 3 ball finished in 4 hours(Round played: Aug 2021 - Score: 94 Handicap: 19.5)

I played here in Jan 2020 when the conditions were really wet overall. It was very frosty when we started and when the sun appeared, the course reverted to soft fairways and greens. The course played really well at all times and was a pleasure to play. There are a decent variety of holes, some bunkers and water, and it is a course you should try.

Lovely Course well worth a visit
First time playing this course and it did not disappoint.The Members were welcoming and patient with us, (were are not the best golfers in the world).
Its a fairly open course however has one super tight par 3.
After we finished our round we ventured to the 19th tee. The Bar staff were pleasant and there was a good selection of drink to choose from.
Would play again in the future.

Difficult course, very hilly. 4th hole has an electric pylon which runs across the front of the Tee box. Local rule - free shot if struck. Some holes are completely blind. Long course for over 55s.
Club friendly and food very good..Shame you can no longer see the 18th from the terrace, as it has been moved!

1st visit but course in good condition after snow and rain but quite wet in places. Played on 10 Temporary greens which were bumpy. Need to come back and play in the summer months but a good day and course layout.

played this course for the first time and found it in very good condition even though it was a slightly frosty morning. played on an invite so don't have to pay. staff were friendly not many members on the course maybe they don't like the cold weather.

Another winter series, course again in super condition and greens still stunning.Looks like they had a leaf round up, hardly a minute looking for balls all day :-) fairways holding up nicely . pro is super friendly and always helpful £20 well spent

Chris the pro, super friendly and welcoming
October winter series, course in A1 condition and the pro Chris always welcoming and happy to help ????£20 for the event, greens superb and true for October and very well run club, downside coffee machine needs attention :-( back in November :-)

Love the set up and great value
Mens pairs open £12 each absolute bargain and course in fantastic conditionOK the practice area is tiny 40yrd pitch etc, but two nets top end of car park for a complete swing warm u p, Lady pro very helpful and welcoming.
played it twice this year and in perfect condition even with the summer downpours :-)
Back again soon hopefully for the winter series events starting October :-)

Pro very helpful which being front of house is super important, Booked in for the August pairs event. So Friday 5th May recon @£22 each - practice chipping area and putting greens for a quick warm up,
Course and greens were fantastic, super slick and putted great. Course is well set up with a few quirky holes. Clubhouse also really friendly and can't wait for the return in August :-)

A fantastically beautiful course with hills, trees and testing dog leg shaped holes. Fairways were immaculate greens were very quick and the whole course set up really make you think and plan your shots. Junior tees need to be better highlighted as they seemed a hazardous afterthought in middle of the fairways.
