Long rough had been cut and so looked good though greens not as good as usual.
Not that many hazards but still a challenging course for mid/high handicappers

This is a very good test of golf as they have removed the white tees and moved the yellow tees further black so the course plays a lot longer than the scorecard suggests. There is water coming into play on 7 holes and the rough is quite harsh too so you can lose a lot of balls if your not on form! All three par fives are proper 5's and only very long hitters would be able to reach any of them in two shots. The prices are very competitive and very friendly guys in pro shop too. Well worth a visit

Considering the amount of rain the night before, the course was in good nick. Greens were good, better on front 9. Few bunkers good of done with more sand but generally good and fairways were good too.

I've played this course a couple of times over the summer. The first time it was in fantastic conditions, the greens were lovely and consistent, and then fairways were in decent nick too. The last round a couple of weeks ago, there was a bit of weather damage, and some of the greens were being maintained, but you can't hold that against them as it's a necessary evil with the heavy rain. The club house and facility are basic at best. The coffee is decent, and the staff are nice. As for the course, I think it's a good challenge. There aren't many places that you'll lose your ball, but each hole is generally, lightly tree lined, so your it makes it feel more enclosed, and they will often catch stray tee shots. It is a bit of a hidden gem, and I mean that because it's a really tough course to find.

Quite a difficult place to find but worth playing when you get there, it has a basic clubhouse but very friendly staff.
The course is in great condition apart from some small areas of damage due to the weather, the greens are true and firm.
Overall we enjoyed the whole day.
