Surface and greens perfect on average February day.
£12 twilight price seemed fair and good laid-back welcome from golf pro.
Flat open course hence a lot of holes seemed similar and lacked character but still a good place to practise.

Considering the amount of rain the night before, the course was in good nick. Greens were good, better on front 9. Few bunkers good of done with more sand but generally good and fairways were good too.

Course in good condition and in a tranquil location (once you find it !) but it is a bit flat and featureless. It's okay but more interesting courses around, especially at that green fee.

I've played this course a couple of times over the summer. The first time it was in fantastic conditions, the greens were lovely and consistent, and then fairways were in decent nick too. The last round a couple of weeks ago, there was a bit of weather damage, and some of the greens were being maintained, but you can't hold that against them as it's a necessary evil with the heavy rain. The club house and facility are basic at best. The coffee is decent, and the staff are nice. As for the course, I think it's a good challenge. There aren't many places that you'll lose your ball, but each hole is generally, lightly tree lined, so your it makes it feel more enclosed, and they will often catch stray tee shots. It is a bit of a hidden gem, and I mean that because it's a really tough course to find.

A very open course where you won't lose your ball often. However, it doesn't have any memorable holes that make you want to play again. Greens were in poor condition when we played due to maintenance. Water and bunkers are in intelligent positions which made the round more challenging. It's worth trying if open parkland courses are your preference.
