A very tricky course go off the fairway and forget about looking for your ball you will not find it. persevere through the first few holes and it becomes quite a nice course (for a public one) has a few issues with polluted water and possibly the environment agency need to have a look at what the close by industrial estates are pumping into the local streams! but for £15 a round a challenge the greens are poor and fairways not the best but as said for a public course that dog walkers and the local youth obviously frequent the green keeper is doing his best. could be a lot better but i would imagine that the local authority does not see this as high finance priority

Hounslow Heath Golf Challenge.
Unlike some golf course Hounslow Heath offers a quite different experience for all standards of golfer. The traditional course layout offers a challenging and rewarding round for anyone that understands how golf should be played. Equally it's open fairways are ideal for beginners.

Best value course on the planet! Unfortunately I've got to add all these unnecessary characters to reach the ridiculous minimum limit of fifty characters required by the designers!

At 5,901 yards from the white tees, the course has an interesting mix of holes, ranging from 159 yards to challenging 418 yards, and is an enjoyable test for all standards of golfer. The course is tight in nature and has water features on many of the holes. The course is well maintained and is undoubtably the best value for money in the area

Hounslow heath is not a private club, hence the fact it isn't managed well really at all. However, in my approximate 50 visits here, the course is truly perfect for anyone wanting a cheap round. Highlights are the 14th 15th and 16th hole which epitomises the beauty of Amen Corner, especially the 15th which has to be one of the best holes in West London. The front 9 is the harder 9, with very firm greens, especially the 9th, which any first timer will struggle with, in my.opinion the hardest hole on the course. Regular experiences are: the Japanese old guy (not Chinese as mentioned ignorantly below, I have spoken to him before) who plays 3 rounds a day...youths who for some unknown reason like to chill out on the greens...the slightly unusual man who loves selling his balls...a few Indian lads playing Kabadi on the middle of the 16th green...and of course your berry pickers. Dodgy elements include the awful sandtraps, the dampness of some greens especially the par 5 4th. Stereotypical ball hunters like myself will love this course, with a high abundance of Dunlop balls. The apparent obsession of good tee boxes in these reviews quite frankly are irrelevant to the course and aren't too bad anyway, yes inevitably a bit rough. The 10-13th holes are across the road on an almost mini 4 hole course and are the easiest on the course, especially with the recently developed drivable par 4 13th, a great feature. There is a huge pile of waste to the right of the 10th which is slightly disturbing and yes the course is wholly not up to scratch, but it sure is more worthwhile to play here than to pay £50 at other nearby clubs. Highly recommended. The dog legs prove a challenge, although being a short course, playing a long par 4 elsewhere becomes the hardest par ever...

This really is a truly awful course. The only bright point is the £15 wknd fee but then you realise that it's a joke you play 15 to play a course in such dire condition. The greens had huge brown dry patches with massive cracks running through them. You'd get better greens at a pitch and putt. Fairways aren't looked after so no guarantee of good lie. I was having a bad round so maybe there is some element of sour grapes on my part but this honestly is the worst course I've ever played. One positive - you can pick blackberrys apples and plums in summer on the walk round. Othe than that, awful. Not playing here again

This is quite a hard course for beginners as the fairways are quite narrow and surrounded by very thick bushes and shrubbery. Easy for a learner like me to lose balls ????. But it is cheap and the course is well maintained. The 'clubhouse' is a large hut with little amenities but friendly staff.

Fairway was just being cut and it looks great with all the undulation. Greens a little slow due to some rain.

played the course 3 times whilst working in London with the boss. We both have enjoyed playing the course mainly for its intresting doglegs and course layout I must admit that its not the best course to play on greens very slow, tees very rough and bunkers like childrens sandpits but its a good way of spending a few hours after work while working away from home.Good value for money.

A real goat track. Avoid. Four of holes were closed due to "flooding" - i.e. puddles. The round was overpriced at 10 quid.

I know it cheap, but really, got to be in the top 3 worst courses I've ever played.
Only redeeming holes are 13 and 14, and they are made to shine by the rest of them
