Friendly and fair condition
I'm a member of Heworth so am a bit bias, even so the course is in really good condition considering the dry summer. The recent rain has done it the world of good and I am surprised how well the course has recovered. We are a friendly and social club and welcome visitors with open arms.Reviewer Rating

The course was a little dry but it is July. The greens were in fantastic condition.
I thought ?29 was a little pricey for a wednesday. The clubhouse was very nice.

My home course so I'm bias but any visitor will enjoy a testing course with easy walking. The clubhouse provides food and drink of a good quality with a friendly atmosphere. Come along and enjoy.

interesting course
Nice course tough driving course if you have a slice ,,nice greens ...it was red hot as well 25 degrees thought i was dying at one point ...quite long course(Round played: Sep 2021 - Score: 94 Handicap: 27)

Lovely Course With Superb Greens
Thoroughly enjoyed my first round at Heworth - a challenging parkland course with no water but plenty of trees to catch the errant drive. Greens were top class and the pace of play was fine. Classy old school clubhouse with a reputation for excellent dining options.Reviewer Rating

Fantastic Course with very friendly staff
We played as a four ball and the course was in fair condition considering the recent weather.All the staff where really friendly and the club house had amazing breakfast and food for pre and post round at great value for money.

A good challenge

Lovely course

Tired Course
Heworth is in need of some TLC in my opinion. The fairways are still as up and down as ever, not good on your back if you have a bad one. I felt this course is not as good as it has been in the previous visits I have made.Reviewer Rating

Once again the course was in excellent condition. The members are very friendly. When we did meet some of the green staff they were very helpful. Members of the club house staff were friendly and made us most welcome.

Greens showed signs that they had under gone a lot of maintenance on one occasion a putt was taken off track by scoring on the green surface. Course played well overall

Our society played here on June 4th. Despite heavy rain and forecast of more to come overall we could not fault it. The welcome was warm,the catering first class and Bernie the secretary was very helpful. An early afternoon deluge left a couple of greens with standing water and one of the back holes(?14) was a tad boggy but that apart a smashing course,one we intend to revisit next year.
