greens a bit squidgy, and the rough is definately rough !!!!!

An enjoyable course with a bit of everything except dramatic holes. It is very well maintained with good greens. Some very nice holes and a variety of tight and open fairways to drive at. Some Fairways were in need of some TLC but this did not detract from an enjoyable round. More sand in the bunkers would not go amiss but how often is that the case with golf courses these days !!

A good club. Nice course. Fantastic greens. Fairways should be better. Not very difficult especially with no wind. No water hazards. Bunkers good. Fantastic pro shop. Clubhouse good. Bargain food. Nice to see a snooker table. This is clearly a members course. Visitor green fees quite high for what you get. Practise facilities inadequate. Can't chip on to putting green. Also bizarrely no driving nets. First hole is too close to clubhouse and car park. A wicked slice and the ball will be in the car park. Some members are friendly. Some aren't. One of the most improved courses in the region. Nice bridges for centenary. To sum up, a nice course, definitely worth going to. A good day out.

Since first impression in Jan 2008, this course has come on leaps and bounds. There have been many an improvement over the past few years, highlighting a progressive & forward thinking attitude.
It is evident that the course is extremely well managed and cared for expertly by the greenkeeping staff all year round.
As a direct result - this is undoubtedly a good test of golf.
Having played it several times more recently, I can add that the membership are always polite and friendly - praise that can be heaped on the club staff also.
The clubhouse is exactly that - a Golf Clubhouse the way it should be. Generally frequented by people doing what we all enjoy, talking about the highs and lows of a round over a well deserved (and resaonably priced) beverage :-)
All told - this place is well worth a visit.

The course is in very good condition and the greens are quick to say they had been dressed the day before...Really enjoyable round.

Course is rather flat with no natural water hazards, quite breezy on the back nine, but overall very good. As a beginner I find it a good course to learn on. Reasonably wide fairways and forgiving rough.

Course not in good condition - greens spongy probably due to the recent heavy weather. Bunkers appear to have no sand and was like clay in the 2 I visited. Fairways not in good condition at all. Clubhouse is very good. Group in front of me had two players, one set of clubs, and one was wearing jeans and trainers. No standards apparently at this course !!!!!

Last review off Ian was 4 years ago this course for the time of year was great. Staff very pleasant. We were well looked after.
