Course is closing end of May 2013, played last round there today. Shame to lose a friendly and unstuffy 9-holer in South Devon.

Great little course that I have played several times a year over last 3 years. It's not too difficult due to large fairways and decent sized greens.
Used this regularly when I first started playing and used to shoot 55+ over 9. Now breaking 40 regularly and going to join one of the larger clubs (probably Dainton, Torquay or Teignmouth).
I will still probably play at Hele with my father on a regular basis as he's probably around a 30h'cap and due to I'll health can't manage much more than 9 without a buggy.
It's reasonably priced, unprotentious and honest.
I feel as though they have let it go a little in the last 6months with the second cut being left too long and grass cuttings being left on fairways greens are still pretty good though.
All in all if your just getting into the game or want a fun relaxing 9hole on a nice evening it serves it's purpose we'll.

A short course with quite a lot of variety and out of bounds so accuracy important. Greens weren't great when visited though.

Enjoyable round. Some well placed bunkers and some challenging holes (for novices like me, anyway!). Good amount of hills! Weather has been very dry lately and fairways scorched, but greens still very good condition. Very freindly club. Good food too. Happily return when in area.

This course has an excellent driving range as well as 9 holes of golf. Currently its £11.50 for a round. A little up & down, but overall a good course
