A little oasis with a great welcome form the members, Excellent course but prepare for backpacking up the hills!

Lots of rain, first time round the course. Hilly but course in great nick.

Great course, a proper test of golf, you have to plot your way round, the par 3 a little short?
200 yards is not short with oob on the left and heavy rough on the right. If you are a flat track
Bully then this will not suit you as you need to adapt to the lies. I do not enjoy boring flat golf.
Golf was started by the sea with dunes and hills. This is proper golf!!
Try and play to your easy course handicap? I bet you don't!!!

Played a little short - most holes you only need a good drive and a easy iron to the greens. A number of par 3 holes just a pitch up hill. Not a bad price but a bit boring. Been warned members are extremely slow on competition days.

Hilly! Very very hilly!.
But a lovely 9 hole course which was well kept when we visited - good greens and a real test for this high handicapper.

This is a gem of a course hidden from prying eyes so I shouldn't really write this review!! I played it on a Monday morning at 9am and had the course virtually to myself.
It may only be a "nine hole course" but is a true test of any golfer whatever handicap they have... Add to this that the members (of which I am now) are without doubt the friendliest people anyone could ever wish to meet! The bar is incredibly reasonable and the food is incredibly good (and also VERY reasonable) although the bar opening times are limited because the club is not used as it deserves to be.. My advice?? Try the course... sample the bar (old fashioned opening hours) and enjoy the best quality normal food that you could ever imagine..
