What the club says: This parkland course is set on the banks of two rivers, the Wyre and the Calder and offers a beautiful setting for a round of golf. It is only ten years old but the waterways and the natural surroundings help give it a much more mature feel. The two rivers convene by the 6th green and as a result the approach to this green is one of the toughest on the course. The 7th is a testing par 3, with water running around the front of the green so accuracy is essential if you want to post a good score.

Party of young in spirit 60+ year old boys, enjoyed the course, hotel, food, drinks and local town Garstang. Already booked to return for our 2 night 3 days golf in 2026Friendly ladies in charge of linen allowed us when checking out, fresh towels to shower after our Sunday golf.

You wouldn't have thought it was 10 years old
This is a course which has serious potential, but really needs to have some serious investment on the club house, facilities and course to be classed as a good golf club.It has no warm up facilities, with the exception of a putting green. Fairways are just a bit too long in grass length and a few extra hazrds wouldn't go amiss.
That being said the green keepers are doing a great job job all round.
It's technically a simple course to play, and houses some long par 4's which add the challenge, espescially as you come to the end of the round.

Fairways and teebeds aren't cut short enough. Bunkers are iffy at best.
Greens were true but very slow.
Good food afterwards at least.

Very flat
Played a four ball, and it was very enjoyable. Disappointed that there are no distance marker posts. The greens should have been in better condition considering hardly any play for 5 months. Not many hazards and very flat so would be ideal for starters.Reviewer Rating

Not the best
Played here for the last few years and the course is not in good condition. The fairways are not good and it's not unusual to lose a ball plugged on the fairways. The first cut of rough is very rough and you can look for ball all day. On some holes you can't see where the fairway starts and ends. Most of the greens are good but the first is awful with bare patches and been like that for a couple of years now.Reviewer Rating
