What the club says: The course has been described as not having any weak holes that provides a challenge to every golfer, especially the classic dogleg ninth, the demanding seventeenth known as 'Braids Best', and the daunting elevated tee to the final green below.

Tip top lancaster
Superb venue course food hospitality very good absolute bargain would go back tomorrow one of my top 10 I'd say(Round played: Sep 2020 - Score: 87 Handicap: 12.2)

New member
I have recently joined lancaster golf club as I've started to get into golf over the past few months, really welcoming club and have played with a couple of members who were both very friendly and accommodating given my lacklustre golf skills!

lovely course
This is a lovely course that is challenging. Exceptionally maintained. Plays very long as all greens seem to be elevated and I thought I was always walking up hill. Club house is amazing and pro shop staff great.

Nice course
Its like playing a links course inland great course and a great par 3 finishing hole good luck

Top class course
Always enjoy playing Lancaster GC. Impressive looking clubhouse. Course in usual great condition despite being closed day before due to waterlogging. Greens a little slow due to not being able to cut them prior due to recent rain, but true and rolled well. Will keep returning for sure.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 77 Handicap: 6.2)

A good course
A test for all golfers, stunning views of the local countryside. Course well maintained & welcoming staff.(Round played: Jun 2019 - Score: 104 Handicap: 21.8)

An okay course
This is one of the more expensive courses local to me seeking ?50 per round but to be honest there are far more interesting courses offering more challenges and for a fraction of the cost. If you can get a deal to play it?s worth a visit but not worth the high cost.

Ate here afterwards, excellent
(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 88 Handicap: 15.3)

Great course
Fantastic course in unbelievable condition especially given the time of year. Top quality facilities.

Lovely course. Best in Lancaster area bar none

Stormy but the only lightning was in the greens!
A wet and windy start but the course stood up well to the early heavy downpours. Greens drained quickly and the fairways were unaffected. Some challenging holes with some difficult greens and pin placements. The course in general was in excellent condition and the greens faster than anything I?ve played all year. It?s an expensive place to play and in all honesty not worth the money asked online but if you get the chance to play Lancaster, take it.

(Round played: Mar 2017 - Score: 84 Handicap: 14.6)

Over priced
Played the course on Friday 4th august 2017 when the course was pretty wet and all the bunkers were gur, yet still charged full price of £40 which in my opinion is about £10-£15 over priced. The setting is good but I found on that day the members were anti social none of the members who were going out in 2's would allow me to play with them (which would never happen at my club) so if you are going to play here make sure you are in a group.

(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 84 Handicap: 19.7)

Fantastic course
Second time playing Lancaster GC and better than first time. Friendly welcome all round. Good food. Course in excellent condition, greens true and fairly quick. Well worth a game here for sure, one of the best in Lancashire.(Round played: Jun 2017 - Score: 82 Handicap: 5.6)

(Round played: Mar 2017 - Score: 85 Handicap: 28)
Winter course so scores not reliable. But given the rain it was great it was open. Some temp greens and forward tees. Service from folks in the shop excellent.
