Course is in excellent condition tee to green. Greens are in immaculate condition fast but even throughout 18 holes. Once they build the new hotel and clubhouse its going to have the faculties as good as any club in the North of England.

A very good course in excellent condition. The greens were in excellent condition very fast fairways in mint condition. The staff were also excellent and very helpful. All in all a great course to visit.

Had not played this course in over two years and forgot just how hard some of the holes are! Excellent course, bit of a walk been tees and even harder to play when the wind blows. Club house is not much, until the new hotel complex gets built nearby.

Played yesterday Friday 13th June. Absolutely fantastic day. The weather was kind and the course was in great condition. Heard a lot of good reviews about the greens previously and I can honestly say they were the best I\\\\\\\'ve played on, and I play a lot of golf abroad. You must see for yourself, a pleasure to experience credit to the ground staff. The rest of the course was great, fairways fantastic and some very challenging but great looking rough. My only gripe was the signage on the tee\\\\\\\'s was poor and so,entires none existent. \\\\c\\\\Temporary clubhouse is pleasant, food was great and staff very friendly. Would definitely return and recommend and if I lived near bye I\\\\\\\'d join tomorrow. \\\\\\\\Thank you

Course was very badly marked, three holes we didn't know where we were going! Man in the hut was miserable as sin and had no interest in providing any sort of customer service. Greens were decent but overall, disapointed

Great course but as someone else commented on, they always seem to offer a less than friendly welcome to visitors. At £40 in summer its steep, but you can sometimes get deals, although if you do pay less it almost feels as though you're even less welcome even though it never seems overly busy. That said, the course layout is excellent with some very nice holes which will get even better once matured. The greens are always in great condition and loads of undulations to make for testing putts. Bunkers are always good with plenty of fine, soft sand. Good driving range and practice facilities too. Clubhouse is a portacabin but work has started on the hotel. However when the hotel is built I feel that this may put this course out of reach cost wise to many, including myself.

Absolutely brilliant course, 2nd to none. A true test of your putting and accuracy off the tee. Not a very friendly club however, played it twice and both times haven't felt welcome, almost as if they don't want you there. This has to improve with the new facilities, or will struggle in current economic times, plenty of other great courses in area that will take the custom.

The portacabins for a clubhouse are pretty dire, as is the very rudmintary shop. However, the course looks like it will mature very nicely and it will become pretty decent in a few years time. the access road is full of potholes and needs sorting out badly.

nice course great greens needs a few years to bed in shame about the a1 most holes were quite noisy but well worth a knock accepts green frees and open fairways but unfortunately not 2 fore 1
