What the club says: Finchley is set in the grounds of an imposing Victorian stately home that has served as the clubhouse for more than 70 years. The panorama below shows the view from the Veranda of the clubhouse, where you can relax and enjoy a drink and some food after your round while watching the action on the 12th, 13th and 18th holes.
The 6,356 yard, par 72 wooded, picturesque, parkland course is recognised as the finest challenge of golf in London. Designed by five-times Open winner James Braid, his short, uphill 12th hole, "Braid's Masterpiece", is one of the best know par threes in the south of England.

Tired Clubhouse and Course
Unfortunate circumstances meant the course was under water for most of it. Discounting that for the purposes of the review; you can easily see the club needs an injection of sorts to revitalise what is clearly a great setting and foundation of a courseReviewer Rating

It's a nice course and a stunning club house. It has some open par 5's and almost drivable par 4's so you can score really well especially in the winter months. It also has some card wrecking holes, particularly the signature 12th hole, which can be a nightmare in the summer. The courses main protection is its fast greens which can be on the edge of playable in the summer. It's definitely worth playing and I'd recommend being a member too.Reviewer Rating
