Excellent
Fab little course with great scenery. Teeing off over the Atlantic on the ninth/eighteenth hole was great fun.
Little club house was spotless.

Fantastic views and some stunning holes
Played here in late April on a kind day (14C, mostly sunny and a breeze rather than a gale). 9 greens and 18 tees - some of which make a big difference. Still had sheep on the course but electric fences keep them off what are good fast greens. Generally course in good condition. It is pretty hilly with the first, tricky if the ground is dry (and it was). Not cheap (for Scotland) at £40 but definitely worth playing if you get up here. Thanks to the green keeper for giving me a steer on the course layout.

Great nine hole course very well maintained. Unmanned on the day we played so unable to rate all facilities only five players on course so could not rate pace of play. Good value for the money

A gem in the North
Most northerly course on mainland Britain but well worth trek 9 greens but two sets of tees several of which makes the hole look and play completely differently
Real challenge saved for hole 18 only about 155 yards but if tide in nothing but atlantic between tee and green

This is the most northern mainland golf course in the UK so had to be played as part of our North Coast 500 tour. It didn't disappoint. Wonderful wee clubhouse, really friendly folk. Course is a 9 hole, 18 tee, on the side of the hill with absolutely spectacular views overlooking the most wonderful white sandy beach. Really fantastic - you must play this if you are in the area (but you will feel the burn on the climbs!)

Where do you start to review the most northerly course in mainland Britain? with views across Balnakiel Bay and Cranstackie and Foinavon inland it is a course of spectacular views. Do not be fooled by the short length of the course, not a single hole is level, for example the first green is about 70 feet above the tee! The signature hole is the 9th/18th, a par 3, where the drive is across an inlet in the cliffs; the 18th drive is the longer. It is a "links" course, wih tight fairways and true greens. The clubhouse is well-appointed and offers refreshements. If you love a challenge, especially in the wind, but even more so like to play amongst spectacular scenery, make the journey, it is worth it.
