Extremely muddy on the fairways at present but the greens are in reasonable condition considering the time of year. Most of the bunkers are full of water. Such a shame that contractors were allowed access to the course with heavy machinery in order to remove bushes. This work has ruined the condition of the course and looks an eyesore.

Council allowed contractors in to do ?winter maintenance? heavy tractors have churned up parts of course, it is boggy already. Demolished trees, bushes and areas of bramble have been removed. Looks more like a building site than a golf course. Very disappointing. Should have banned trolleys but they haven't!

mud lark at the mo!
playing long very muddy green as good as you get at Deangate.tractors have been in and cut down bushes trees and cleared places you don't even golf from why???

Very nice course, value for money is exceptional. As with 99% of courses the bunkers need attention but that said they are not the worst. My biggest gripe would have to be the tee boxes they just need to be flattened but for the £24 Sunday round of golf I shouldn't really expect the world.

Almost had the course to ourselves today. The ball is running considerably long considering the time of year. The greens are well looked after. It is a shame about the foliage growing inside the bunkers. My only other criticism is that the tee boxes are not level.

Always a pleasure to play this coarse. Nice wide fairways with greens in great condition. Only problem is tee placement could be better on the day.

Terrible Tee Boxes
The course was nice and fairways were good surface to play from however the tee boxes were awful, most were uneven with your feet below the ball.(Round played: Aug 2017 - Score: 100 Handicap: 26)

a group of us play twice a week, being on a ridge the winds can be challenging,
the course is in good condition generally, our only 2 criticisms are the greens are variable making putting difficult, and tees are not flat making it almost impossible to find a level spot to tee off.

Played behind a club competition. Pace of play was pathetic 5hrs 20 mins for th round, all I can say is the members here all must be 28 plus handicaps. The fairways look like the first cut of rough couldn't have been cut for 2 weeks at least covered in clover. The bunkers had no sand in and most had no rakes which tells you everything. A reasonably long course with forgiving fairways. All of the par 3s are reasonably lengthy and the 17th hole demands an accurate tee shot. The greens are rather bupy.
