Poor course
Played behind a club competition. Pace of play was pathetic 5hrs 20 mins for th round, all I can say is the members here all must be 28 plus handicaps. The fairways look like the first cut of rough couldn't have been cut for 2 weeks at least covered in clover. The bunkers had no sand in and most had no rakes which tells you everything. Fantastic day with not many golfers out this afternoon, as a single player, 4 ball in front of me allowed me to play through without me rushing, odd boggy patch on course but nothing that hindered play too much other than on the 9th with its own little marsh land????, friendly staff in shop, only gripe was no buggies available other than that can't fault it.

Course not as good as a few months ago. Bare patches on he greens tee boxes a few like a hump back bridge others more dirt than grass. Please don't let it go back to what it was a few years ago when the society I played with stopped playing there.

public course. Not played here many years. Obvious time, money and effort put in. Course in really nice condition. greens consistent and of fair pace. Some Tees could do with some levelling out. Fair test of any ones game. Clubhouse and facilities adequate but disappointing. Course can get busy!! Consequently can be slow, although we got round in under 4 hours

Far too many tee times made for an extremely slow round. Fairways not cut and was like the first cut off rough. Pro shop staff member was very nice, but starter staff were very brash. Poorly kept course.

I played here about 2 weeks after the course was closed for about 2 months because of the severe rain. The course was ok to play through. There are some very boggy patches on the fairways so look out for them. I believe there was only one temporary tee position. The greens are fine to putt. This course is quite pleasant to play on without being penalising most of the greeens can be seen from the tees. This course is a council owned and maintained and it has been better looked after than some privately owned ones I have played on. It's good value too.

Quite a good course with reasonable shots to the green if you hit the fairway with your tee shot. Prone to waterlogging, so make sure it has been dry for a few days before you play. Fairways in good conditions, but more sand needed in bunkers. At 9 quid for a twilight ticket (after 3pm in Summer) it's good value.

Extremely muddy on the fairways at present but the greens are in reasonable condition considering the time of year. Most of the bunkers are full of water. Such a shame that contractors were allowed access to the course with heavy machinery in order to remove bushes. This work has ruined the condition of the course and looks an eyesore.

Council allowed contractors in to do ?winter maintenance? heavy tractors have churned up parts of course, it is boggy already. Demolished trees, bushes and areas of bramble have been removed. Looks more like a building site than a golf course. Very disappointing. Should have banned trolleys but they haven't!

mud lark at the mo!
playing long very muddy green as good as you get at Deangate.tractors have been in and cut down bushes trees and cleared places you don't even golf from why???
