5 A nice little course, especially for the younger players, played with my son and we both enjoyed it, although it gets very wet in the winter, but so do most courses. My son and I, will certainly play there again.

5 Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, dean farm golf course has gone from ground up to the heart of the kingsly community. Adam has put so much hard work into the club and it's really showing. Great customer service, good food, a good round of affordable golf, and a positive encouraging attitude to young golfers, Who are, let's face it, are the future of the sport. Some "has been" or or "never where" golfers may see this as a negative thing, being so narrow minded and set in their 19th centuary ways. However, I personally am proud to be associated with a club that actually wants to nurture young talent and allows FAMILIES to enjoy the golfing experience together and be an active part in their children's new found or existing hobby.Further more I wish to address the above comment of the owner looking like a "bum". I have no idea how this would even be relevant in a supposedly "fair review". If you read the conditions apon writing a review on this site, it asks that you not be rude or offensive, so either you're an illiterate "bum" yourself, or you are just plain ignorant things , to which I would then suggest your review is completley inaccurate, biased as to promote Alton golf club, and just plain old cods wallop. There is one thing I do accept your point on. I was starring at your wife, I do apologise for this but I couldn't help it, she gave me the "come to bed eyes".Boom! How do you feel?Appart form the occassional hate filled, dillusional review, dean farm golf course really is giving the people of kingsly and the surrounding area a golf club they can be proud of, and one they can feel welcome to at any time.Kind regardsAlex rehbein

5 Last time I played here was 15-20 years ago so can't remember how it was then but I am sure it has changed. Welcoming in the clubhouse despite building work going on. Cheap tea/coffee was welcome as it was -2 outside. The signs are not very clear and it was too cold to allow a tee to be used so had to play off the grass/mats. All the ground was frozen so more like playing on concrete, even the stream running through the course was completely frozen!
Would go back when it is warmed to see how it plays then, but as a cheap way of practicing the short game it was ok.

5 Nine hole course with some real challenging holes. Under new ownership and now having a lot of work done to bring it back to its former glory. Some holes can get very wet during winter months but this is being looked at. A great course to work on your short game with some longer holes to let you let loose with a wood.

5 Good little 9 hole cse, muddy in the winter. Go starter course for younger members as it combines a range of challenges with less distance. Friendly staff and a good cup of tea.
