What the club says: The 18-hole course winds its way into the small, scenic village of Charnock Richard. American designs and water features, well worth playing

5 Played the course on the sunny day first week of June . Fairways needed cutting rough to long lost balls on fairways , good test of golf , hard to find a couple of tees, greens could be better ,was very quiet no waiting , good price only paid £8. Lots of water hazards overall a good course and day out .

5 I played the course Saturday in a threesome. I was very disappointed with the poorly kept condition. The fairways obviously had not been cut they were covered in daisies. The greens were appalling (bumpy). all three agreed we would not play here again. Some bunkers had no rakes. It wasn't worth the £15 we paid.

5 3 Temporary greens and three shortened holes would account for the reduced green fees. The 13 and 14th holes are in dire need of repair and have been in a poor state for 12 months now. Course was very quiet and under no pressure to get round.

5 What should have been a good round of golf was ruined by so many parts of the course being under water. This after a week without heavy rain, even the bunkers were full and the ones that weren't were terrible. I'm afraid this course needs alot of drainage work and needs closing for a bit to dry out or it will never recover.

5 Played this course yesterday for £17 and its not worth that much! The greens were too long as were the fairways. Its a real shame as the layout and challenge with the amount of water should make it a great game of golf.

5 I agree, the score card needs a course plan and it is never worth £42 but it is worth a try with the 2 fore 1 vouchers.
the course itself is very chalenging due to the amount of water that is in play, i think 14 of the 18 holes have a water hazard and the greens and fairways were in good nick.
i would play it again but it is a bit off the mark with the prices.

5 Glad I had the 2fore1 vouchers as this is not a £42 a round course and club! However, it was well maintained and a good day out was had by myself and my group. There is no pro shop to speak of and no course planner whic lets it down , I would go back but I would make sure I had more of the 2fore1's to make it more value .
