What The Club Says
Canons Brook has one of the best courses in the region. Designed by the legendry Sir Henry Cotton and matured over 40 years, it presents a truly engaging golf experience with lots of variety and all located in a beautiful setting. With experienced, qualified professionals and a well-equipped Pro Shop run by First Fore Golf, your technique and equipment needs are well-catered for too, with the use of launch monitor technology.
Situated in 112 acres of mature rolling countryside the 18 hole, 6769 yard, par 73 championship length course makes excellent use of the surrounding landscape and its numerous natural and man-made hazards and beautiful features.
The course was designed by Sir Henry Cotton, whose philosophy was to create a championship length course with very little rough, but incorporating many bunkers and large undulating greens, a task he accomplished in style. The course was opened in 1966.
A broad repertoire of shots are required to master the course, which demands that every golfer regardless of standard, is rewarded for thoughtful and skilful play rather than for power alone.

Fab course
Played Canons in June so conditions were perfect, my golf not so! I would consider it a tougher than average course. Not too hilly but tight in places especially off a few tee boxes, also felt long with many well placed bunkers. Very well kept and good looking course. Greens were quick but fair. Only let down, not enough sand in bunkers. No driving range, no chipping green. Clubhouse a little dated but ok. No food after our round on a Sunday at 6pm!!Reviewer Rating

Always has been brilliant for us
We are a small society and have always been made to feel most welcome at this course throughout our many years of attending and this year was no exception. Unfortunately, we didn’t have our usual numbers but were still treated, exceptionally well by all staff and the catering staff especially. Course was in excellent condition and is challenging enough for our membersReviewer Rating
