Easy challenge

One of the easiest courses in Co Durham.first 5 holes are all birdie holes.to many par 5s which makes it to easy, really busy course and a lot off members we’re ignorant,on the plus side food was got.

The worst course I have ever played, the only thing that is missing on the greens is a volcano and windmill because it is like playing crazy golf on a big scale.the members are delusional about it been a great course,I think it would make a better car park for kinryn than a dog track.

Not a very challenging course (my handicap 16) fairly straight forward ho!es.
I was disappointed to have paid full fee for temporary greens , with the 7th hole not playable at all! Pro in shop only said a couple of holes in temp greensP
First time I was going to leave game early due to course, rather than my game!!
Sorry I would not go back

municipal course at best

On par with most municipal golf courses.average in every aspect.members are brain washed and highly rate the course if only they went and played somewhere else they would realise it is an average course.5 mins down the road you have Brancepeth castle golf club which is exceptional and probably the best course in County Durham.

Poor course, loads of temporary greens in play, not good for this time of year. Mats in play instead of tees and it's April. Members are not too happy from what i heard in the clubhouse. Played snooker, really good table although too much swearing in the room and not acted on by the manager

First time playing at Bishop. Very unusual with lots of par 5’s followed by par 3’s. Which if very unique. Lots of par 4’s to finish.

Greens were far too slow. New 2nd green is far too high so difficult to hold with anything longer than a 7 iron in hand - badly designed. Fairways were great and the course itself is a really good challenge - just the greens letting it down. Had a lovely meal, bar staff were great however there was too much swearing coming from the snooker room. Staff apologised however nothing was done to control them - they thought they had to be served before non members!

interesting course

Some really nice holes - didnt play very well but nothing to do with the course . friendly members although the guys in front of us were held up a lot by some really slow play but I think it was guests rather than members

Nicely set out course

Greens had just been treated and were really sandy so that affected the round a little but aside from that it’s a cracking little course, nice, mature and set with a touch of difficulty
