What the club says: Birchwood Park Golf Centre is situated on the picturesque outskirts of Wilmington, near Dartford and offers two challenging golf courses. Facilities include a floodlit driving range, golf academy and well stocked pro shop as well as a gym, extensive bar, catering facilities and a first class private function suite.

Getting better
I played here in June with a friend and was horribly underwhelmed . Last week we both decided to try again as it is a local track to us and we have enjoyed it when we’ve played in years past and was glad to see improvements . Greens were a little slow as they had been tined but did roll very well , tees were far better than what we found in June and there was just a nicer look to the whole place . A little disappointed
A sunny warm day and just a little breeze - should have been a perfect day's golf. The greens were in the final stages of tinning, ran slower but can see they will be in great shape in a few weeks. The tees were poor and to many of the bunkers had only a thin layer of sand on top of the rubber base. whether its been the weather, but there is a lot of barren areas on the fairways and the fringes of most greens. Disappointed with the overall condition and (currently) overpriced for what it delivers.Reviewer Rating

A tough hilly front 9 with a much flatter back 9 . Some tricky pin positions and bunkers make this a real good test . Greens were excellent .

Fairways & Tboxes
Both fairways & T. Boxes are in poor condition.More sand than grass on T box.
& more stones than sand in bunkers.
It's a nice course to play,but for the money could be better looked after.

Parts of this course are excellent the greens especially as well as being very tidy tee to green . Sadly it is very dry in some areas one area is the tees . I did speak with a member of the grounds staff who told me there had been issues with watering . But I wouldn’t say it spoilt my round . ( my golf did that ) . Overall I had a good experience here and will definately return .

Enjoyable course in good condition
Played a twilight round yesterday and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of bunkers and some interesting holes. My friend had to pull out due to illness. Big thank you to Paul in the pro shop for offering a credit. We will return, soon.Reviewer Rating

Parkland course which has undergone recent bunker replacement/refurbishment. Tee boxes new to be improved which is likely a result of continued use through winter. Front 9 has a couple of blind tee shots and some elevation changes but if you want to shoot a low score you need to take advantage. Back 9 is a little more open but does seem to play longer especially if the wind is blowing.

Fair condition
Played Birchwood in the past, was always busy at the weekends, 5+ hour rounds the norm so now avoid it. However, played it again during the Easter weekend at twilight. Prices have gone up like many other golf courses. The range is good, practice green decent, clubhouse/facilities also good but lacks character. The course itself has good variation of holes, hilly in places but walkable. Greens were still recovering from the winter and coring but fairly quick and true, Many tee areas either not flat, bare or had so many divots we preferred to tee off 2m behind the markersReviewer Rating

Impressed
Course is in very good condition. Greens are tricky but roll very well.Some very interesting holes. Need to think about most of the shorts you play to avoid trouble, but there's room enough if you're careful.
Course is attached to a very large health club and the club house feels a little impersonal. But service and food are good and the staff are friendly.

course seems to be well tendered . Some very tricky par 3s the uphill 16th especially , greens were as true and consistent as I’ve played recently although maybe not the quickest .

Greens in very good condition and course looks well maintained . A little dry on the fairways though so some difficult approach shots into the greens and the longer rough is difficult to play from if you go too wide off the tee

Highly impressed
After the heavy rain we had a couple of days ago I was not expecting to see a course in such good condition . Greens were very good , bunkers were all playable and raked . Impressed with the course

Good condition, friendly staff , had the course to myself which is nice ????Bit of standing water which was understandable as lots of rain the night before but apart from a few worm casts on the greens, very nice ????

Good for short game
The course isn't very inspiring but it's a great little one for practising your short game. Dragged two 10 year olds around and it was enough for them.The greens were wonderul for a little pitch and put course. Will definitely go back.

Exspencive course struggling to be something it's not
The course is trying to be a country club the facilities support this but the course comes up short. Bare lies on fairways and around the greens makes a round here a bit of a lottery and the greens often slightly raised into the teeth if the wind are cut to fast. It's unnerving trying to put when the balls rocking and rolling in the wind and the bunkers are really inconsistent.Reviewer Rating

Nice improvements since we last played
They continue to make noticeable improvements around this course. The bunkers are undergoing work at the moment. With the rubber base it needs a decent amount of sand, which was not the case on a few bunkers I visited. That aside, continues to look good and play well.Reviewer Rating
