Most Helpful Review
Called in at Ashridge on the off chance of getting a tee time after being less than impresed by a very unhelpful club up the road that we had booked but could not play using trollys. Peter Cherry the pro at Ashridge could not have been more helpful got us sorted with a tee time during a very busy day on the course, which turned out to be a gem even in the middle of winter, greens hard and fast for the time of year, bunkers and tee boxes in top condition. The course is wide enough off the tee for the odd less than straight shot but do not miss a green on the wrong side consult your course planner. All in all top course top staff. Great day. - Dec 29 2011
Golf Course Reviews for Ashridge Golf Club
A course based in the countryside of Hertfordshire with great facilities to practice on before you go out with the greens in great condition.

This course is absolutely stunning.
Beautiful to look at, wonderfully kept and an absolute joy to play. It's not long and there is plenty of room off the tee if you are a bit wild despite almost every hole being lined with mature trees. Once on the fairway though you need accurate iron play to challenge the subtly well defended greens. Once dancing, you had better pay close attention to every putt; fast and true the breaks are subtle and the slopes, well, slopey!
Members were super friendly, and the food good, but frankly they could have stabbed me with forks and given me cold Tesco value beans for lunch and I would be back tomorrow in a heartbeat.
Best course I have ever played.
As usual the course was well looked after, and playing nicely. Weirdly, they keep Winter Rules (preferred lies) for a month later than most courses, because of the elevation of the course, but generally, a good weather day means there really is little need for cleaning and placing the ball.
Greens, bunkers, tees and fairways all in good order, and the local deer had not been messing up the course as can happen occasionally. Nice to be back, and hope to play again in 2018.
The food is so good, that our Pensioners Club regularly has 15 more for the lunch than those of us who come to play golf.
a top club all round. great condition and welcoming staff.
