What the club says: Castleisland Golf Club is a new parkland course, built on 200 acres, with modern sand-based greens and tees. This excellent course is built to the highest championship standards, which allows the course to be played throughout the year.

Although a newly developed course, the architect skillfully utilises the mature wooded undulating terrain at his disposal to create a gem of a golf course.

The course has many challenging holes, taking advantage of the varying and unique nature of the site. While elevated and undulating the design has reduced to a minimum any difficulties in walking and playing the course.

Very good course

Excellent course with some challenging holes. Wind can through you off track so be careful. The course plays long so make sure you hit the extra length especially going up the hills. Some interesting water hazards. Great views of the Kerry Mountains.

An enjoyable experience in the heartland of North Kerry. It's a challenging walking experience and the renumbering of some of the holes have made this course more enjoyable albeit one now starts on a tough par four followed by a relatively easy par five and a tough three. You will be challenged and if you have a scoreafter the first five holes you are looking good for a win.

Castleisland is in great condition with many challenging greens.......the slopes can lead one to easily three putt.

There is some nice scenery in the surrounds of this course and interesting long walks between some of the greens and the subsequent tee boxes.

An enjoyable experience.
