Alan Shearer lands at Kedleston Park GC

By: | Thu 25 Sep 2014

Kedleston Park, Derbyshire’s premier golf club, was delighted to welcome Alan Shearer to the stunning parkland course on the Alan Shearer golfing at Kedleston Park4th September 2014.

The England footballing legend and BBC Match of the Day pundit arrived by helicopter, along with Feisal Nahaboo to participate in the Futurelink Group Golfing Challenge. Played over 18 holes on 18 different course across the UK, the challenge raises fund for the Alan Shearer Foundation, a child disability-based Charity in the North East and raised £20,000 in 2013.

Kedleston Park’s stunning opening hole, the par 5 1st hole, was Shearer and Nahaboo’s seventh of the day and despite the tight schedule, Shearer had time for pictures and autographs with many of the Kedleston Park members who were present to cheer him on. Starting in the North East, their day was finished in Berkshire some 15 hours and 400+ miles later.

Set in the grounds of Kedleston Hall, Kedleston Park Golf Club is a mature parkland championship golf course and offers a competitive, but friendly and welcoming, environment for golfers of all levels.
