Great Display at Golf LIVE

Golf LIVE was a huge success for golfing fans visiting Stoke Park over the weekend.

Billed as a 'three-day golfing extravaganza, with an array of interactive clinics and performances involving Colin Montgomerie, Ian Poulter, Paul Casey, Retief Goosen, Catriona Matthew, and world-renowned coaches David Leadbetter and Denis Pugh' 'an innovative new interactive golf event for players of all abilities'  it most certainly was!

A fantastic turn out over the 3 days ensured that Golf LIVE was a great success and thoroughly enjoyable for the golfing fans in attendance.  Over the 3 days visitors were able to check out the latest kit, try out kit and see the Pros up close and personal in various master classes and mini competitions between themselves and some visiting Celebrities including Vernon Kay, Jodie Kidd, Tim Henman and others.

Whilst Retief Goosen was unable to participate fully due to a hand injury, Oliver Fisher and Pablo Martin were in attendance alongside Poutler, Casey, Matthew's and Monty. 'The Goose' provided some fantastic commentary during the Master Classes and it was a great experience to hear how players set-up shots and what goes through their mind during the round plus given very insightful tips for the amateur golfer.

It was also great to see both that Cleveland/Srixon and Taylor Made had tour trucks on show. Both for the visitors to see but also to have clubs custom fitted there and then.

The Cleveland/Srixon team had a dedicated short game area where golfers could try out the latest Cleveland CG15 wedges off the fairway, in the rough, with shots to a real green! They could then purchase custom fitted wedges straight from the Cleveland/Srixon tour truck.

So all in all it was a great success and looks like the first golf event in the UK to get some great feedback and buzz around the social networks, a true endorsement.  With some independent blogs commenting on the Golf LIVE event and a number of comments via Twitter and Facebook.

I certainly will look forward to the event next year and will be interested to see how it grows.   Stoke Park Golf Club was a fitting venue and as you would expect the course looked truly amazing!
