North vs South 2009

North vs South | History | Rules & Format

North vs South 2009The 3rd event in 2009 saw the event hosted in the South for the first time in a alternating Ryder Cup style and was held at De Vere Wokefield Park in Berkshire.

With the North having won the trophy in the first 2 years the South were ready for a win on home soil and securing the trophy for the first time.

And this was the theme from the outset with the South Captains team romping home in the first group 7 and 6, by the 9th group it was almost all over.

The North did mount a fight back but by the 11th group all they could manage was a draw and retaining the Trophy but lost out and ended up losing 9 to 6.
