PowerBug hail successful Seniors Open at Sunningdale

By: Golf Shake | Thu 30 Jul 2015

PowerBug, one of Europe’s leading golf trolley manufacturers, took full advantage of the opportunity to bring its innovative range of products in front of a wide audience of golfers during the recent Senior Open Championship at Sunningdale.

Windsor-based PowerBug has grown into a major player in the electric golf trolley market in a very short space of time, with its rapid ascendancy all down to innovative designs, rugged build quality, excellent customer support and an industry-leading five-year warranty.

PowerBug

The brand has been supporting the European Senior Tour for a number of years, so was delighted to have the opportunity to exhibit its exciting range of products at the recent Senior Open Championship at Sunningdale. Just as at St Andrews, the weather played a major role, but that didn’t prevent thousands of spectators turning out to witness American, Marco Dawson, land the title by one from defending champion, Bernhard Langer, in a field packed with star names and Major champions.

Friday’s weather delays played into PowerBug’s hands, with many of the thousands of spectators deprived of live golf passing through its exhibition stand to find out more about the brand’s product range, and its impressive and growing reputation for value, reliability, design quality and customer support, with the icing on the cake that eye-catching, and hugely reassuring, five-year warranty programme. By engineering products that deliver exactly what golfers want at a price they’re prepared to pay, PowerBug has been able to make very significant market-share inroads throughout the UK and Europe at a time when other trolley brands have been struggling.

The weather at Sunningdale may not have been conducive to PowerBug demonstrating the ground-breaking UV sensor built into the handle of its top-of-the-range UltraV model to the full, but the host of other ingenious and practical features engineered into this flagship model were enough to see many Senior Open spectators depart the famous Berkshire club with a brand new electric trolley in the boot!

Among those features are: a lightweight aircraft-grade tubular aluminium frame to address the key issues of weight and strength; a simple folding mechanism for easy assembly, breakdown and storage in either car boot or garage; a Torque Control Anti-Rotation Bag Support to stop your bag twisting annoyingly on the trolley; adjustable front wheel tracking so you can tweak things back on line should your trolley take an unfortunate knock; a VRAP (Variable Run And Park) distance control feature that lets you set the trolley to automatically run and park at five preset distances from 10 to 50 yards; and, of course, that industry-leading 5-year warranty that really sets PowerBug apart from its competitors.

If all this has whetted your appetite for PowerBug, its innovative range of electric trolley products, and its industry-leading warranty terms, you can find out more at www.powerbug.co.uk or by calling 01753 857838.
