The world’s leading golfers once again chose Titleist golf balls at last week’s USPGA Championship, where the Pro V1 and Pro V1x models were used by the majority of the field. This completes a clean sweep of Major Championships in 2014 where Titleist golf balls have lead the counts, and follows on from long-running success stories that continued at the U.S. Open and The Open Championship. It also builds upon impressive counts and outstanding success for Titleist golf balls across worldwide professional tours, and underlines their performance excellence as a result of manufacturing and process excellence.

81 of the 156-player field at the USPGA Championship put their trust in the feel and consistency of a Titleist golf ball, more than three times the nearest competitor with 26. The impressive count seen at Valhalla Golf Club underlines the performance superiority of Titleist golf balls and mirrors the success at this year’s U.S. Open, where Titleist continued the longest running success story in golf as the golf ball of choice at the championship for the 66th consecutive year. It was a similar story at The Open Championship, where Titleist continued its record as the golf ball of choice since records began.

The success of Titleist golf balls at this year’s four Major Championships has been emulated across worldwide professional tours every week this year, with 15,441 players having chosen to put their trust in the #1 ball in golf across worldwide professional tours; more than six times the nearest competitor with 2,530. Titleist's popularity has been further proven in the amateur ranks in 2014, where the Pro V1 franchise has been the golf ball of choice for competitors in the most prestigious amateur championships, including The Amateur Championship, Lytham Trophy and St Andrews Links Trophy.
