American Golf launches Junior Championship in partnership with PING
Europe’s largest golf retailer, American Golf, is launching a Junior Championship at De Vere Mottram Hall on 27th August 2014. The inaugural event will be held in association with PING who will be providing all the prizes for the competitors.
The event is open to anyone aged under 18 as of the 1st January 2014. Entries will be limited to 100 people on a first come first served basis and will cost £5 per person. Juniors wishing to enter can apply online at www.americangolf.co.uk/juniorchampionship or can pop into their local American Golf store to sign up.
“After the resounding success of last year’s ‘Most Improved Junior’ competition, we wanted to try and give more of a championship feel to this year’s event”, comments Daniel Gathercole, Head of Marketing at American Golf. “Junior golfers are the future of the sport so it’s important that the whole industry embraces younger players. We’re delighted to be working with PING on this event. Not only do they have a great range of junior clubs and clothing, but they also share the same vision as we do regarding the future of golf.”
The main competition will see one player crowned overall American Golf Junior Champion, but there will be a numerous awards to win on the day including nearest the pin, the longest drive and a putting competition. No entrant will go home empty handed as every attendee will receive a great goodie bag courtesy of American Golf and PING.
De Vere Mottram Hall’s Championship Golf Course offers a challenging course for the juniors with the front nine gently rolling over meadowland and the back nine giving a more demanding woodland setting.
With a PGA Pro available in every store, the widest range of product available, free custom fitting for all customers, free home delivery and the new iPad ordering system, American Golf is better placed than ever to help golfers to perform to the best of their abilities.
