Titleist Recognised as #1 Ball in Golf by Foremost
The superior performance of the Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls has already to led to 128 wins across worldwide professional tours so far in 2013, compared to 34 for the nearest competitor, and the legendary franchise claimed yet another victory at the annual Foremost Awards ceremony, where it was recognised as ‘Golf Ball of the Year’.
The Foremost group is represented by over 1000 PGA Professionals from across the UK, and the Award highlights their continued trust in the superior performance, quality and consistency of Titleist golf balls, and their appreciation of how they meet the needs of golfers of all abilities from right across the UK.
“We are delighted that the Pro V1 golf ball franchise has been recognised as the market leader by Foremost members, as it validates how we are meeting the needs of the club professionals,” commented Matthew Johnson, Titleist Brand Director. “Having launched the seventh generation of the Pro V1, and continued to educate professionals and consumers about the performance benefits of Titleist golf balls through our golf ball fitting methodology, this year has been an overwhelming success – especially considering it has seen the 2,013th win for the legendary franchise. We are incredibly proud of our heritage across all levels of the game by continuing as the #1 Ball at professional and amateur championships alike, and to receive this further mark of trust from Foremost professionals is fantastic.”

Andy Martin, Foremost Company Director, said, “The support that Titleist has given in service and promotional activity throughout 2013 has been rewarded and this, in conjunction with the group’s digital marketing programme, has helped to drive store sales and retain margin. This pro-active approach to green-grass retail has been recognised by the Foremost members.”
The seventh generation of the Pro V1 (and sixth of the Pro V1x) was launched in January 2013, and has recorded significant victories at The Masters in the hands of Titleist Brand Ambassador, Adam Scott and at the USPGA Championship with Jason Dufner, who both trusted the superior performance of the Pro V1 golf ball to claim their maiden Major Championships.
