De Vere Oulton Hall hosts stars of the future

The championship standard and immaculate conditioning of the luxury De Vere Oulton Hall resort near Leeds has been recognised this week, with the venue becoming the host venue to the opening stage of PGA EuroPro Tour Qualifying School. Following unseasonal snow fall at the original venue, De Vere Slaley Hall in Northumberland, Oulton Hall has added the 36-hole stroke-play event to its 2013 tournament schedule with the event taking place on the 3^rd and 4^th April.

Oulton Hall boasts a rich tournament heritage having hosted the prestigious Leeds Cup, the world’s oldest professional trophy, since 2010 and the addition of the PGA EuroPro Tour confirms the venues championship credentials. The EuroPro Tour is a stepping stone for up-and-coming touring professionals, with previous members including European Tour winners Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel, Richard Finch and Scott Jamieson.

We have great experience of hosting professional events, so although we haven’t had as long as we would like to pull everything together, this is a great way for us to start an exciting season.”
