Lamkin announce release of new ACE 3GEN grip

Lamkin Golf have announced a new series of grips created with the proprietary new ACE 3GEN synthetic rubber compound.  The ACE material (an acronym for Advanced Cohesive Elastomer) was developed by Lamkin chemists to combine the performance advantages of 3GEN technology with an even tackier, softer feeling grip.  Offered exclusively in Crossline ACE 3GEN and Perma-Wrap ACE 3GEN, Lamkin say the new line is their tackiest ever and will make their retail debut within weeks.

Our goal with the new ACE 3GEN technology is to provide golfers with an extremely secure and comfortable gripping connection so they can confidently swing with a light-pressure grip,” said Lamkin CEO, Bob Lamkin.  “By eliminating tension from their grip, a player eliminates hand and arm tension, delivering longer and more consistent shots.”  

As Lamkin’s best-selling grip over the last decade, the Crossline, is an obvious partner for the ACE 3GEN material. With its distinctive, densely spaced surface pattern the Crossline gives excellent traction, particularly in the wet. As such it is favoured by many players on tour for the stability it delivers whatever the conditions. Now partnered with the ACE 3GEN material, the new Crossline ACE 3GEN takes traction to a new level giving an unrivalled contact between a golfer and their club that is ideal for Europe’s wetter conditions. The Crossline ACE 3GEN, designed with a distinctive grey and black body and red cap, is available in three sizes: Standard; Midsize and Oversize.

Also available in the new ACE 3GEN material is Lamkin’s Perma-Wrap grip. The technology in the new Perma-Wrap ACE 3GEN, combined with its unique unbuffed surface and simulated-wrap texture, delivers unparalleled surface tack.  The amplified grip tackiness and slightly softer feel provide excellent gripping stability to promote a smooth, tension-free swing. More traditionally favoured in warmer U.S. conditions, the wrap style grip could be set for a renaissance on this side of the pond. With its retro styling the look of the Perma-Wrap could prove to be very popular and now with the introduction of ACE 3GEN the performance of the wrap style grip will be less dependent on the weather. The standard size Perma-Wrap ACE 3GEN is available in black, grey and white. Midsize and oversize models are available in black.
