Royal & Awesome to be Centre of Attention in Orlando
Scotland's newest and most spectacular golf clothing brand, Royal & Awesome, will be attending this week's 60th PGA Merchandise Show, which takes place in Orlando (January 23-26).
Brand director Graeme Smeaton will travel to Florida to join recent appointment Rod Taylor - previously of Loudmouth, and Royal & Awesome's new North American sales director - to showcase Royal & Awesome's range of eye catching golf trousers, shorts and hats, perfect for the pars and the bars. The company has recently launched plus twos as well as women's pants, shorts and skorts in dazzling designs, complemented by a small range of men's and women's shirts, socks and belts.
The ‘Awesomes' build on the wonderful heritage and history of golf in Scotland by adding a whole lot of fun and colour, and are guaranteed to make an impact on the course, the clubhouse or the corporate jolly. All of their bottoms come with a free golf tool/bottle opener, which is a nod to their strap line of ‘for the pars and the bars'.
Royal & Awesome was launched last April by AFG Media, the founder of MorphsuitsTM, the world's most famous costume brand with over one million fans on Facebook and annual sales close to $20m. The new golf brand is making great progress in the UK and has gained a foothold in North America, with a dedicated distribution centre, which is helping to supply the growing demand for Royal & Awesome.
Smeaton said: "The response we have had from consumers and the golf industry has been hugely encouraging. People understand exactly what we are trying to do; we make great quality trousers, in amazing designs and do it all for a price that doesn't take all the fun out of wearing them.
"We've got a growing army of followers on Facebook who are really engaged, sharing pictures, comments, feedback and letting us know what they want us to do next. This has prompted us to launch our new range of women's clothing, plus twos and accessories."
The brand's attendance in Orlando launches what is sure to be an awesome 2013, following the positive response at the PGA Expo show, in Las Vegas, where Royal & Awesome exhibited last August. After a successful show, where Royal & Awesome attracted the attention of Golf Channel's Win McMurray and Golf Digest's Marty Hackel, the brand is keen to continue to generate further interest and is better placed to maximise the opportunities of the PGA Merchandise Show.
The 60th anniversary of the world's largest golf trade show promises to be as busy as ever with 1,000-plus exhibitors covering nearly 10 miles of show aisles, one million square feet of interactive exhibit, demo and presentation space, around 1,400 members of the media and more than 40,000 influential PGA professionals and other visitors.
