The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort Announces Platinum Sponsorship of Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Champions
The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort, Abu Dhabi, will be the platinum sponsor for the upcoming 8th Annual Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, January 17-20, 2013 – a clear reflection of the St. Regis brand’s passion for the sport. Guests staying at the resort during the championship will receive complimentary tickets to the prestigious tournament.
The Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship is now one of the biggest events on the European Tour, regularly attracting some of golf’s most famous names, and, since its inception in 2006 by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (ADTCA), it has taken place at the sublime Abu Dhabi Golf Club as part of the Tour’s ‘Gulf Swing’.
The ultra-luxury brand hotel and resort has also earned a reputation for creating a world-class and bespoke golf experience on Saadiyat Island, as Abu Dhabi continues to emerge as an international golfing address, boasting three championship caliber courses.
“The hotel is flanked not only by the turquoise blue waters of the Arabian Gulf, but also by a Gary Player masterpiece,” said John Pelling, General Manager of the hotel. “Saadiyat Beach Golf Club is one of our key unique selling points, and, as Abu Dhabi continues to position itself in key markets as a destination of distinction, our international appeal will continue to grow.”
