Sustainable Golf Apparel Brand Reflo Unveils Spring Summer 2024 Collection

By: Golfshake Editor | Wed 24 Jan 2024

Launched back in November 2021, Reflo is a sustainable performancewear brand that turns single-use plastics and discarded coffee grounds into technical apparel. Specialising in golf, they have now unveiled their Spring-Summer 2024 Collection.

With its performancewear predominantly crafted from recycled polyester, Reflo’s fabrics use 50% less energy and produce 70% less carbon than virgin polyester, requiring no new oil.

The new collection focuses on versatility, performance and style, with lightweight and breathable fabrics. The products are designed to work across different sporting activities, going against the belief that you need multiple products for each different sport.

Reflo offers multifunctional apparel, mainly golf, but also catering for regular gym goers, runners, and other sports like tennis and padel.

The new range features 32 pieces and includes polo shirts, t-shirts, shorts, midlayer sweaters and hoodies, designed for multifunctional use at home, on the golf course, running, at the gym, and more.

The inspiration behind the new collection is conscious and ergonomic design, providing versatile, active lifewear that offers function and simplicity through design, contributing to a reduced impact on our environment.

Reflo Summer Apparel

Reflo designs seasonless styles to create cross functional products that can comfortably be worn from one season to another, indoors and out, for multiple activities or just everyday. Style lines “Flo” and form around the body, complimenting shape and aiding movement and performance.

The Bohai 2.0 polo shirt is the first product using Reflo’s new ‘Reloop’ initiative, a circular apparel solution with garments designed to be recycled at the end of use.

Reflo does this by ensuring Reloop garments are of mono-fibre, where 100% of the product is made from one form of recycled material.

Reloop is a world first in the golf industry and allows customers to send back their used garments to be recycled. Reflo has plans to roll this initiative out further with future collections, as part of its mission to become the most sustainable apparel brand in the world.

Reflo continues its sustainable innovation with the Hudson 2.0 and Moana t-shirts. The garments use coffee grounds embedded into the fabric resulting in superior odour control and 200% quicker dry time than cotton - all whilst remaining breathable and functional.

Continuing on a path of sustained growth since launching, Reflo’s employee base tripled in size during 2023 - a year in which they were crowned winners of the prestigious Drapers’ Den award for their commitment to sustainability. Reflo has no single-use plastics in its supply chain, and has carbon offset its entire workforce.

Reflo's co-founder, Rory Macfadyen, said: "The SS24 collection is about performance, sustainability, and innovation, designed to be versatile and fit for purpose across multiple sports.

“By designing products that can be used in different activities, we want to help people buy less, buy better, and use more without compromising performance. This then future-proofs our products, meaning we build durability into our apparel and ensures it stands the test of time.

“Sustainable innovation is at the heart of what we have done here and what we do at Reflo, that’s why Reloop is a huge step towards our goal of becoming the most sustainable performancewear brand in the world. It’s a solution to a problem we see too often in the apparel industry - garments ending up in landfill without being recycled - and we will continue to improve each season with new innovation.”

As part of its mission to plant one million trees in the first five years of operating the business, Reflo is working with Ecologi and the Eden Reforestation Project to make this happen.

Since its inception in 2021, Reflo has recycled the equivalent of 505,562 plastic bottles, planted 41,601 trees globally and offset 368 tonnes of carbon.

The SS24 collection is available to purchase from 24th January from reflo.com
