Jersey Legends Event Returning to La Moye Golf Club

By: | Wed 26 Apr 2023

The Legends Tour will be returning to the island of Jersey this year, with La Moye Golf Club playing host to the event.

After the highly successful tournament in 2022, the Jersey Legends will be held between June 8-11. Free entry is permitted for all fans and the four-day event looks set to replicate the success of last year.

Richard Green was victorious last season after he beat Paul Lawrie in a playoff to secure his first of two Legends Tour wins.

Ian Woosnam will be headlining the star-studded field, with La Moye acting as his home club since he moved to Jersey.

The venue has a long history of professional tournaments as it hosted the DP World Tour’s Jersey Open between 1978 and 1995; Woosnam was victorious during the 1987 edition.

Another bonus for fans attending the event is the return of the Alliance Series, meaning amateurs can play alongside professionals.

The Celebrity Series will also be returning to La Moye after former Liverpool striker, Robbie Fowler, fought off the field to secure victory last summer.

Phil Harrison, Chief Executive Officer of The Legends Tour, noted: “It is wonderful to be returning to La Moye Golf Club for the 2023 Jersey Legends.

“Last year’s event was such a success and with free tickets for fans this year, we are looking forward to seeing even more fans this year across four great days of golf.”

Woosnam, the 1991 Masters champion, said: “The Jersey Legends is set to once again be an incredible event on the Legends Tour calendar thanks to the players set to compete and the great venue, my home club La Moye Golf Club.”

Legends Tour 2023 Schedule

There will be 19 events spanning across the 2023 season for the Legends Tour, with the tour visiting many countries across the globe.

June will see visits to Jersey and Ireland, with two English events scheduled for August - including a tournament at JCB Golf & Country Club.

Trump International Golf Links will play host to the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship in late August.
