Bruce Evans (15) finally broke his Gtour duck coming out on top after three events in 2010 at De Vere Belton Woods on Saturday 26th June.

Shooting an excellent 42 points on the Woodside course for a gross 82, Evans held off the rest of the field and Shaun Cade (11) finish second on 40 points and a tie for third for Gary Walker (4) and Jon Harris (9) on 37 points.

Knowing that the course suited his game, Evans knew what he had to do: 'If I kept it steady and down the middle, I knew I would score well. I got the speed of the greens pretty much straight away and managed to sink a few 20 footers which I think got me over the finish line in 1st place.'

Evans also said how he felt about the tour: 'The Gtour is a something I would recommend to everyone. It's friendly, good fun and competitive all at the same time. Great courses complemented by excellent organisation.'

Everybody's skills were tested to the limits at the European Senior's tour venue De Vere Slaley Hall last month  last month with extremely tough weather conditions.  In stark contrast, the players enjoyed the challenge of the Woodside course at De Vere Belton Woods that was bathed in sunshine and in immaculate condition making for high scores throughout the day.

Tournament Director, Colin Astbury said, 'The 2 events couldn't have been more different in terms of the conditions but both courses provided a great test for those taking part which is a testament to the staff at De Vere.'

Top 10 results: Bruce Evans (15) 42 points, Shaun Cade (11) 40 points, Gary Walker (4) & Jon Harris (9) 37 points, Mark Cassell (11) 36 points, David Wilson (12) & Ian Roberts (17) 35 points, Mark Anderson (11) 34 points, Andy Kenyon (15) 32 points, Jimmy Govere (9) 32 points

The next event on the Gtour calendar is the 2nd Major of the year, the De Vere Invitational, taking place on Saturday 17 July at De Vere Dunston Hall near Norfolk.
