The Nike Air Zoom Infinity Tour Shoe is Coming to Golfposer.com

By: Golfshake Editor | Wed 10 Jun 2020

If you have a keen eye for style and - in particular - the style that you see worn on the PGA and European Tours, then there’s a good chance that you will likely know all about Golfposer.com already. The UK based online retailer is fast becoming the go-to destination for all things designer golf fashion - whether that’s to shop the latest Nike apparel worn by Tiger Woods, the PUMA clothing worn by Rickie Fowler, the fashionable BOSS threads worn by Henrik Stenson or the most advanced performance Galvin Green waterproofs worn by Team Europe at the Ryder Cup. Their extensive range of apparel also includes top brands such as adidas, G/FORE, Ralph Lauren & TravisMathew - with the latest limited-edition gear landing online every other month.

Golfposer.com has also become the go-to retailer for some of the most exciting releases in the world of golf footwear. Whether that’s the latest Air Jordan golf shoes, or greatly antiicpated major championship footwear - they will appear on Golfposer.

Air Zoom Infinity Tour

The Nike Air Zoom Infinity Tour is making its much anticipated debut this summer. It’s the style which was originally revealed back in January, designed in close collaboration with Brooks Koepka and regularly worn by the multiple major champion before the PGA Tour came to a halt.

Nike Golf are never scared to invest a significant amount of time and effort into perfecting their products and they’re equally never scared to try something new. The Nike Air Zoom Infinity Tour was born out of Brooks Koepka’s admission that he practices his short game while wearing running shoes, as opposed to a pair of conventional golf shoes. With this in mind, the Nike designers set about creating a tour standard performance golf shoe which had the look and feel of a running shoe, but further adapted to excel when it came to the demands for the modern golfer.

The Nike Air Zoom Infinity Tour golf shoe boasts a significant amount of technology - all of which has an important purpose in the overall context. The woven Flyknit upper provides a lightweight feel with a locked down fit - finished with a thin and flexible TPU overlay to provide reliable waterproof protection & easy cleaning. The foam padded ankle collar helps to compensate for the rigidity of the external heel counter - an essential component which ensures stability is provided throughout the swing.

It’s also the first Nike Golf silhouette to feature Zoom Strobel; an air bag which is positioned directly underneath your foot which will help to harbour & return energy to help you generate explosive power. Truth be told, there are actually four separate Zoom Air units featured in the Infinity Tour; one full length unit stitched into the upper and three more units which are visible through the translucent outsole.

The construction of the outsole is also an area where Nike Golf spent some time perfecting, aided by the input from Brooks Koepka and the results of their lab testing together. The end result is an innovative outsole which features just three enlarged Piston cleats - each positioned beneath the afore mentioned Zoom Air units. These green friendly spikes firmly connect the wearer to the ground, preventing slippage and offering unwavering traction in all conditions.

Finally, the Nike React cushioning is tried and tested technology which provides a smooth and comfortable ride for walking 18 holes or more. The official product spec even details an “8mm offset” - a technical term which has trickled down from the running department and relates to the thickness of the foam cushioning. That might be an irrelevant factor to most - but it proves how serious Nike Golf have taken the development of the Air Zoom Infinity Tour.

Retailing for £149.00, the Nike Air Zoom Infinity Tour will be available to shop online at Golfposer.com in June 2020.
