Michael Bullen wins the TP Tour Farmfoods Shootout
TP Tour Report - June 30th, Robin Hood Golf Club, Solihull West Midlands
Worthing golfer Michael Bullen captured the £5,000 first prize at Robin Hood Golf Club this week. A first professional win for the 22 year old, he saw off the challenge of three other players in the shootout play off, at the Robin Hood Golf Club, where the greens were again running at an incredible 14 on the stimp.
In a tight contest four professionals made it into the shootout from a field of 72 players. Billy Hemstock [Teignmouth] Toby Tree [Golf at Goodwood] and Simon Lilly [Wellingborough] not match Bullen’s lightning fast start of consecutive birdies at the first and second play off holes.
A great up and down for par at the infamous par 3 16th and final shootout hole, Bullen sealed the victory.
The classic parkland Harry Colt golf course was presented in sensational shape. Also in the field for the UK’s biggest One Day event - a strong list of players included European Tour winners Raymond Russell [Centurion] and Van Phillips [Stoke Park] and 5 time Challenge Tour winner Sam Little. Craig Keiswetter [Wentworth] the former England International Cricketer also competed at Robin Hood.
Thanks to title sponsor Farmfoods for a great event which was watched by a large number of members, spectators and visitors.
The Pro Am which preceded the event was won by Martin Woodbridge [Bearwood Lakes]
