Troon Offer the Ultimate Tournament Experience

Troon has expanded its offering for amateur golfers with a series of world-class golf events at three of its exclusive properties across its International portfolio. The Troon Cup series includes all-encompassing packages to enable teams of four to sample its exemplary golf courses, award-winning service, and hospitality.

Forming part of the 2014 Troon Cup series are events at Open Championship venue, Turnberry Resort, Scotland and European Tour School host venue, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club, Spain, with 2014 marking the introduction of European Tour venue, La Reserva de Sotogrande Golf Club on the rota for the first time. 

The first event took place recently at Turnberry Resort, Scotland, and guests enjoyed their golf on the testing legendary championship courses, The Ailsa and The Kintyre, and rested their heads in the comfortable surroundings of the Lodges at Turnberry with a local, full Scottish breakfast on offer each day. The team from The Centurion Club, the Troon Privé property near St Albans, walked away with the title during the prize giving lunch celebrations, following a fantastic three days.

La Reserva de Sotogrande Golf Club is set to welcome golfers for the 2014 Sotogrande Cup, presented by Troon. The event, which runs from Sunday 6th to Wednesday 9th July 2014 includes rounds over the generous fairways and variety of tee options of La Reserva, in addition to a round at the 1997 Ryder Cup host venue, Valderrama Golf Club. Combining a challenge for golfers of all abilities, the Sotogrande Cup is rounded off with great dining, a drinks reception and full prize presentation along with three nights’ accommodation at the partnering NH Almenara Hotel.

Completing the series presented by Troon is the Copa Las Colinas, which takes place Sunday 21st to Wednesday 24th
September, over the Cabell B. Robinson designed, Las Colinas Golf & Country Club. The facility located on the Mediterranean region of Costa Blanca is no stranger to leading events, as it hosts the world’s aspiring professionals over its pristine fairways and stunning putting surfaces during the European Tour Qualifying School. The third edition of the Copa Las Colinas kicks off in style with a welcome Cocktail reception at the clubs extensive function facilities. With three nights in the luxury apartments or villas of Las Colinas Residences, which continue to receive international acclaim, an excellent year of Troon amateur events will be completed under the Spanish sun.
