Longhirst Hall
Great society day at Longhirst Hall Northumberland, Two of the best course's in the north east with the most friendly and accommodating staff I have ever met. Fairways and greens where immaculate and already booked my next 4 golf days for next year. Could not recommend any higher for people to play

Agreed, a really good place. Would recommend a buggy though, as the walk in between holes can take a while.

Yes, played Sunday...and agree what a great course (The Lakes) was! Though when entering my scores on Golfshake, I notice that the scorecard SI is different from the card I marked!?

Hi all, could not agree more! Iam a member at longhirst and have been for the last 4 years. I also play quiet a few other courses in the north east but longhirst really is the best kept! It also prides itself on being a relaxed and friendly place, without any kind of snobery! The dawson course i feel is the hardest course and is the longest. but both are great, with fantastic views of the lakes from the 16th green! One of my other favourite course in northumberland is linden hall. Give it a go next time your up that way, you wont be disappointed. Enjoy!!

Having played many courses in Northumberland I feel Longhirst is an acquired taste - I don't mind water every now and then but Longhirst overdoes it in my opinion.
Each to their own though!
