What The Club Says

The course has been designed to flow with the natural contours of the land, the greens being constructed to USGA specification and strategically placed pot bunkers, St Andrews style double greens, water features make for an exciting layout and superb panoramic views.

The course has been shaped, to allow each hole to have an individual character with water and sand features coming into play and approximately 10,000 trees are being planted. The backdrop on one side of the course is a view looking out over the moors and the other looking over Plymouth and out to sea.

Windy day

Course was a bit overplayed and greens are threadbare and lumpy. Water features are half empty and not well cared for

Played both courses

Played the full 27 holes, huge course which I have to say is very busy, all well greens played well good coverage, we played on grass tees all the way round, bunkers were in play. You could however see some winter damage but that’s life I guess most courses have this at this time of year. You could see there is a lot of improvements going on in general to the course and club, they have a huge putting green opening in April I was told. Really enjoyed ??

Not great

Played Boringdon park today, not what I expected at all! I was once a member that left 7 years ago and played it once or twice a year since. I have watched the course come on leaps and bounds over the years. Pre covid it was the best I had seen it, probably one of the best in this part of Devon. But now it’s like I’ve gone back in time. Scruffy is what I would call it. Very much a pay and play venue again now. Such a shame as I really thought you have made it! Up to the standards of the big established clubs around you. Needless to say I shall not becoming a member again anytime soon????

Poor golf course

The course is looking tired, matts placed in any old position, most of the pins are on slopes or back of the greens.
The pro was less then helpful when we asked for our money back. Never ever again.

Poor Boringdon pk

As a frequent player at Boringdon pk Saltram course,I am shocked at the decline of the course condition and quality! WINTER MAT ON PATHS?!?! that are no where near level, just chucked down in a anywhere will do vibe, then I was instructed by a rude hi-viz chap on the first tee to drive our trolleys over the mats. How the pro or the green keeping staff think these mats are at a high enough standard for them to approve and charge a full green fee is beyond me! The course had been given a crew cut, no rough no trees no features, When these issues was mentioned to the shop staff, all we received was a shrugged shoulder. On top of all this it was a 4hr 45min a round!! Held up by what I can only say was 3 golfers that have never hit a ball in their lives and they looked like they had just left a nightclub looking at the state of them. Boringdon pk have let their standards drop significantly over the years, course set up very poor, course conditions very poor. Staff couldn’t care. I’m not sure if it’s lack of investment or staffing quality but something is very wrong. My overview is Boringdon Pk is becoming a quick buck pay and play course for the casual golfer who don’t care or don’t know what a decent course is. Sorry Boringdon I will be taking my business else where, which is a shame because you had potential.

Great challenge

A great course layout with some stunning holes.
Unfortunately on this occasion the course wasn't at its best.
Every tee was a mat, some positioned in the middle of paths and not many were level - I understand and accept some mats at this time of year, but they were very poor.
Most greens were in a poor condition with tyre marks/grooves greatly affecting the roll of the ball.
As I previous member of this club, I know how good this course has been.

Played Aug 21. An interesting course with testing holes, sloping fairways and unusual features. Received a warm welcome and would happily play here again.

Very busy

The course was ok, greens where to a high standard, but the course is a bit of a pitch and putt feeling to it, the worst thing was being hurried by a Marshal who was expecting our 4 ball to keep up with the 2 ball in front of us, 3 times he came around so a waste of ?45 each we were not happy.
