What the club says: The course has been designed to flow with the natural contours of the land, the greens being constructed to USGA specification and strategically placed pot bunkers, St Andrews style double greens, water features make for an exciting layout and superb panoramic views.
The course has been shaped, to allow each hole to have an individual character with water and sand features coming into play and approximately 10,000 trees are being planted. The backdrop on one side of the course is a view looking out over the moors and the other looking over Plymouth and out to sea.

Held up VERY well in the rainPlayed over the weekend they Storm Dennis was here. All greens open only a few temp tee boxes. Well done to the ground staff for keeping the course not only in play but very good condition.
ChappersI was very much surprised how well the course held up, as recently we've had an awful lot of bad weather. Quite a lot of rain in the last few days have caused problems at other local golf courses. Boringdon Park, was in superb condition and was a real joy to play.
Very little O/B so little danger off the fairways, course could do with some more features to give it more character. Course was well playable considering there had been heavy rain the previous few days.

Great CourseI played Boringdon with some mates today and we all loved it! I hadn't played it for about 5 years and it was a completely different course with probably the best greens out of all the local courses. I'm not sure how old the course is, but I guess it's maybe 10 years and you can see how the layout is maturing and all the trees are growing. The club seemed very different from many clubs as lots of younger players on the course, and had quite a chilled out vibe, so definitely thinking of moving from Yelverton.
