Held up VERY well in the rain

Played over the weekend they Storm Dennis was here. All greens open only a few temp tee boxes. Well done to the ground staff for keeping the course not only in play but very good condition.

I was very much surprised how well the course held up, as recently we've had an awful lot of bad weather. Quite a lot of rain in the last few days have caused problems at other local golf courses. Boringdon Park, was in superb condition and was a real joy to play.

Great Course

I played Boringdon with some mates today and we all loved it! I hadn't played it for about 5 years and it was a completely different course with probably the best greens out of all the local courses. I'm not sure how old the course is, but I guess it's maybe 10 years and you can see how the layout is maturing and all the trees are growing. The club seemed very different from many clubs as lots of younger players on the course, and had quite a chilled out vibe, so definitely thinking of moving from Yelverton.

Played Boringdon last week, the improvements just keep on coming. I was amazed at the quality of the fairways and greens after such a harsh winter. New signage, new driving range, practice green and a lovely new bar have made this a superb day out. I think the views though are great however with the course being on high ground mean the wind adds to the challange and the par 3 13th over water make this a tough round when the sun isn't shining.

Played the course for the first time and really enjoyed. It's a fairly new course and still needs a few areas to be finished, but great layout. Amazing 13th hole, which is an island green although wish I had hit 1 extra club. Played with a member for just £15....bargain.

Well lots of interesting reviews here recently and it’s funny how similar they are and I guess it’s easy to say whatever you want when you hide behind a screen name!!!
I know at least one review is by a member of another club who has never even played the course and I suppose there is always jealousy of successful businesses.
I’ve been a member at Boringdon for 3 years now and for a new course it’s in fantastic condition and being improved daily, which is why I guess it’s been picked for the Devon Girls and Boys Championships and the Devon Open this year. Yes the club might be a little more relaxed than some “traditional” clubs that are dying, but would a course/club as bad as these fake reviews really have increased their membership by over 100 in the last few months to over 650 members??

Played here for the first time in a society and was very impressed with the course and club house. We paid £29.95 for coffee and bacon rolls, 18 holes and a roast (on a Saturday afternoon) The course was in really good condition and very testing as the greens had a links feel to them. All the staff made us very welcome and the food will be great. Already re booked for later in the year.

I have just joined Boringdon Park Golf Club after learning to play on a local 9 hole course and am delighted with my first months membership. The course is great and very challenging for a novice golfer like me and I was surprised to see some negative reviews. I have only played 5 other local courses, but in my opinion this is the best and very welcoming, which is exactly what a new golfer needs and I look forward to getting more involved in the club.

I enjoyed playing the course and found the layout interesting with great views of the Plymouth area. Although it is still new it is maturing and the overall condition has improved year on year. The food after my game was excellent and the overall day was great value for money. I would recommend it to any level of golfer. In my opinion a fantastic venue for social and golf alike.

I played Boringdon park for the first time in there 3 man team open event this Sunday. On coming across this review site, it is hard to believe some of these people have played the same course I did. The only thing I do agree with is that the course is very long and tight. Overall the course is very good, good greens, friendly members and nice food. Maybe I just played Boringdon on a good day?. Just to mention, the 13th hole par3 island green 200yards, amazing hole!.

a brand new course in plymouth. whilst still bedding in this course has the potential to be one of the best in the south west. the holes challenge the golfer at all levels. the high handicapper has the challange of having to hit straight, the low handicapper will have to think their way around the course. the hazards are will thought out and fair. the views are stunning. the greens are true, though play very fast, even after the rain we have had. The 9 hole course is still being built and when completed will integrate with the exisitng course to provide a great golf club

Played both courses

Played the full 27 holes, huge course which I have to say is very busy, all well greens played well good coverage, we played on grass tees all the way round, bunkers were in play. You could however see some winter damage but that’s life I guess most courses have this at this time of year. You could see there is a lot of improvements going on in general to the course and club, they have a huge putting green opening in April I was told. Really enjoyed ??
