My home course
Sparkwell is now - Welbeck Manor & Golf fyi.I think the app would be better if you could see your completed scorecard at the end of each round (again for fyi)

Nice Course
The course is going through some changes to make it better. The bunkers definitely need some work, but overall the course is in a good condition, good enough for me to join soon. It is only 9 holes, so can become a bit slow at busy times, but there are some good challenging holes. Worth a try if you want a quick game at a reasonable price. Very friendly staff and there is a lovely conservatory to sit in to have a drink and a bite to eat and look at the viewsReviewer Rating

It’s a good 9 hole course if you’re a beginner or need to get in some practice, but like many are saying the greens need work but hey it’s a cheap friendly place where you can most of the time just turn up. However the price although reasonable at a weekend is only a couple of pounds cheaper than porthpean and I know where I’d rather be! Also my garmin approach didn’t pick up anything so I had to guess everything from the tee? Not sure if anyone has had an issue with this?

Great 9 hole course

I play here whenever I visit family in Plymouth. The chap who runs it friendly and welcoming to all so you can encounter beginners and slow play, but it has always been a pleasure to play. Well kept and great views. There are some challenging holes and I've yet to play to my handicap there (18). Worth a look if you are laid back and tolerant of beginners. Enjoy!

The course was fairly easy, few hazards but unfortunately a group of 6 tracksuit clad idiots just pushed their way in front of our 2 ball and just behaved like morons, they would not let us play through and were taking at least 20 minutes a hole. This has put me off playing here again....

Great place to play nice and early. The main gentleman running the show is a very friendly chap that is always upbeat and welcoming with outstanding customer service skills. The food and drink is very reasonably priced and of a good standard. The only downside is the groundsman turning up and working on the green you are trying to play on to. Never experienced this at any other course, while I except that the course needs to be worked on, it's very distracting having someone de-weed whilst you are putting.

Great fun course. It's not that flat and poses a few challenges. Well maintained and good in bad weather if you just have to get out.

A good beginner course as there are few hazards. Some holes however play long, particularly the uphill Par 5 6th and the Par 4 7th. On in 2 on the 7 th is a great achievement in my opinion. Can get boggy in wet weather but has never been closed nor have there been any temporary greens in the 2 years I have played there.

This course is a no frills open to everyone course.It is very well maintained and kept,is quite tricky to play,with both long and short holes. The only slight pickup I could say,is that the greens are cut a little on the long side. If you are coming tothe area for a weeks golf, this is a good 'warm up' course.
